Katie Couric Parts Ways With Yahoo After Three Years

Katie Couric is leaving her position at Yahoo after three years on the job.

The 60-year-old television personality was reportedly paid $10 million a year in cash and stock as its global news anchor.

Katie released an official statement about leaving the company.

“I’m very proud of my time at Yahoo anchoring live events, political coverage and breaking news with a team of very talented journalists,” said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter.

She continued, “Over the past three years, we have produced a wide range of high-quality video content that was delivered to millions of viewers. I learned some valuable lessons during my tenure, which I will take with me as I continue to create, develop and produce a variety of content for different platforms in this constantly evolving landscape.”

Katie will continue to work with the company on a project by project basis in addition to her web series with Sur La Table, her production company and her upcoming scripted drama for Netflix.

Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness had a fun date night full of laughter!

The couple stepped out at the National Night Of Laughter And Song event on Monday (June 5) at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.

Hugh and Deborra-Lee were also joined at the event by Kesha, Jerry Seinfeld, Jay Leno and Katie Couric.

The special evening helped to benefit the David Lynch Foundation.

The organization works to heal traumatic stress and transform the lives of at-risk populations, both youth and adult.

T.R. Knight & Geoffrey Rush Premiere Their New Show 'Genius' at Tribeca Film Festival 2017

TR Knight suits up for the premiere of his upcoming show Genius on Thursday night (April 20) during the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival at BMCC Tribeca PAC in New York City.

The 44-year-old actor was joined at the premiere by his co-stars Geoffrey Rush, Johnny Flynn, Samantha Colley, and Eugene Simon along with Katie Couric and Ron Howard.

Genius follows the life of Albert Einstein, with Geoffrey playing the legendary physicist in his later years, while Johnny plays Einstein in his younger days.

Genius is set to air on National Geographic on April 25.

Kate Bosworth & Jason Ritter Attend National Geographic Event in NYC

Kate Bosworth looks pretty in mint as she arrives at the Visual Storytelling Event hosted by National Geographic on Wednesday night (April 19) at Lincoln Center in New York City.

The 34-year-old actress was joined at the event by Jason Ritter, Morgan Freeman, Jane Lynch, Katie Couric, and Geoffrey Rush.

Kate and Jason are currently working on the upcoming miniseries The Long Road Home on Nat Geo.

The eight-episode miniseries revolves around the true events of April 4, 2004, a day known in military circles as “Black Sunday.”

On that day, a platoon from the 1st Cavalry Division in Fort Hood, Texas, was ambushed in Baghdad and an intense rescue mission follows.

Megyn Kelly and her husband Douglas Brunt make it a date night at the 2017 Vanity Fair Oscar Party at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday night (February 26) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Katie Couric Talks About Her Marriage to John Molner!

Katie Couric is opening up about her marriage to John Molner, who she tied the knot with over two years ago.

The 60-year-old journalist, who is promoting her National Geographic documentary Gender Revolution, made an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, airing on Monday (January 23).

“I feel really lucky because he’s funny and kind and really smart and great company,” Katie said. “You know, you forget how important it is just to enjoy being with the person.”

“You really appreciate it when you enjoy with being with that person. So, I’m really happy,” she added.

Katie Couric & Meredith Vieira Will Guest Host 'Today Show'

Katie Couric and Meredith Vieira will be returning to The Today Show as guest co-hosts next year to fill in for Savannah Guthrie during her maternity leave!

The ladies were previously co-hosts of Matt Lauer on the NBC morning show. Katie was the co-anchor from 1991 to 2006 while Meredith filled the role from 2006 to 2011.

Katie will be the guest co-host for the week of January 2 while Meredith will return for the week of January 9.

Matt is set to celebrate his 20th anniversary as the anchor of Today next year!
