Alicia Keys & Sara Bareilles Perform Epic Duet at City of Hope's Spirit of Life Gala

Alicia Keys and Sara Bareilles share a cute moment up on stage during the 2019 City Of Hope Spirit Of Life Gala on Thursday night (October 10) in Santa Monica, Calif.

The two musicians treated the crowd to a medley of “Girl on Fire” and “Brave” at the event, which honored Epic Records Chairwoman and CEO Sylvia Rhone.

Meghan Trainor, Daryl Sabara, Zara Larsson, and Alicia‘s musician husband, Swizz Beatz, were also at the event.

During the evening, City of Hope raised more than $4 million at a black-tie gala. The funds will go toward the nonprofit biomedical institution’s research to find improved treatments for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases.

Meghan Trainor Drops New Video for 'Wave' - Watch Now!

Meghan Trainor has released the new music video for her song “Wave” featuring Mike Sabath!

The visual features Meghan and Mike amongst a sea of people and it was shot with a beautiful color palette. You can see her riding a literal wave of people in the video.

“Wave” is about what happens after a failed relationship and the emotion can be felt in the lyrics.

“Once my hands have reached the shore/You pull me back in/And I shouldn’t beg for more/But I don’t want it to end,” Meghan sings.

Meghan Trainor Reveals Her Nickname For Husband Daryl Sabara on 'A Little Late'

Meghan Trainor sits on host Lilly Singh‘s lap during her visit on A Little Late on Wednesday night (October 2).

The 25-year-old singer opened up about her husband, Daryl Sabara, during her interview and revealed the crazy nickname she and her family have for him.

“We call him ‘Serial Killer’ because he looks crazy in a lot of pictures,” Meghan revealed. “But, also, he does, like, suspicious things that we’re like, ‘Are you a serial killer and we just haven’t figured it out yet?’ Like, he’ll go to the movies by himself, but not, like, just one movie, like four back-to-back. Like, solo dolo.”

But although they have that nickname for him, Daryl is anything but.

“He’s the most supportive human being ever and the nicest guy in the world,” Meghan added. “Like, you won’t believe how nice he is.”

Meghan Trainor's New Song 'Wave' Took 3 Years To Make

Meghan Trainor and Mike Sabath snap a cute photo at SiriusXM Hollywood studios on Friday (September 27) in Los Angeles.

The duo did some radio promos for their new song “Wave“, which was released that day.

“This song has been in the works for three years, and I’m so excited to finally release it!” Meghan said in a statement. “I’ve never worked harder on a song. Mike Sabath’s production and verse took it to a whole new level. I know my fans have been waiting a long time for this one, and they deserve the best. I’m happy they stuck with me. I hope they love it!”

Meghan and I got really close while working on her new album this year,” Mike added. “We were in the studio one night working on ‘Wave’ and she asked if I would please do a verse on it. I felt super inspired by her voice and the energy of the people in the studio and was able to one take the verse and then we just filled in the lyric.”

The song will be featured on Meghan‘s upcoming album Treat Myself, and the music video will be released on October 7th!

Meghan Trainor Will Replace Jennifer Hudson on 'The Voice UK'

Meghan Trainor is replacing Jennifer Hudson as a coach on The Voice UK.

The 25-year-old “NO” singer – who was a judge on Fox’s The Four – will take the place of the 38-year-old “I Still Love You” crooner on the British competition series.

Meghan said (via Deadline), “I am so excited and honored to join Sir Tom, will.i.am and Olly Murs as the new Coach on The Voice UK. It’s a dream come true and I can’t wait to sit in the chair with my own button and listen to some incredible new talent.”

Emma Willis will return to present. Filming begins in October, and the series will hit ITV in the New Year.

Jennifer revealed that she left the show due to “filming commitments.” She will star in the film adaptation of Cats, and she is and filming for the Aretha Franklin biopic Respect.

Meghan Trainor is such an exciting addition to The Voice UK,” added Katie Rawcliffe, Head of Entertainment, ITV. “She has blown us away with her energy and enthusiasm and, although our youngest coach, an impressive career in music set to inspire all who join Team Meghan. Meghan Trainor Does Amazing Cover of 'Friends' Theme Song 'I'll Be There For You' - Listen Now!

Meghan Trainor‘s Friends theme song, “I’ll Be There For You” cover is here and it’s better than you probably imagined!

The 25-year-old singer can still hardly believe she got to cover the song for the 25th anniversary of the television series.

“I can’t believe Warner Bros. asked me to do this,” Meghan shared in a statement. “I’m so honored! I’m so excited that I get to be a part of celebrating such a legendary and iconic show like Friends!”

Meghan revealed to Rolling Stone that she even has her family singing in the background: “I actually cut the vocals in my backyard in my studio, with my little brother, my older brother, my husband, and my best friend, and we were just all laughing and in disbelief. Like, ‘How is this really happening?’ It was a big party, the best night.”

“I’ll Be There For You” was co-written by the Rembrandts, Friends creators Marta Kauffman and David Crane, Kauffman’s husband Michael Skloff and songwriter Alee Willis, and served as the theme song for the popular television series throughout its’ 10 season run.
