The 25-year-old actor plays Prince Alcott, opposite Julia Roberts (as the Queen), Lily Collins (Snow White), and Nathan Lane (also pictured inside).

Here’s the film’s official synopsis: An evil queen steals control of a kingdom and an exiled princess enlists the help of seven resourceful rebels to win back her birthright in a spirited adventure comedy filled with jealousy, romance and betrayal that will capture the imagination of audiences the world over. Visionary director Tarsem Singh (Immortals) rewrites fairy tale history as a wicked enchantress (Roberts) schemes and scrambles for control of a spirited orphan’s (Collins) throne and the attention of a charming prince (Hammer).

When Snow White’s beauty wins the heart of the prince that she desperately pursues, the Queen banishes her to the forest, where a ravening man-eating beast hungrily awaits. “Everybody knows Julia‘s smile and the sound of her laugh, and she really brings that out and takes advantage of that and uses it in a different way for her version of the Evil Queen,” Julia‘s co-star Lily Collins told People. “She used her magic and turned her smile and laugh into a creepy way.”

“We’d be shooting and she’s being extremely horrible to me, and once they yell cut, the first thing she says to me is, ‘Are you okay? I’m sorry, I hate being mean to you,’” Lily continued. “You forget that’s really Julia because she’s so good.”

Nathan Lane will guest star on an upcoming episode of Modern Family!

The 54-year-old actor will play Pepper, an older pal of Mitchell and Cameron’s, in an episode coming this fall. Pepper, a flamboyant friend, was mentioned last season.

Executive producer Steven Levithan told USA Today that Nathan approached producers himself and that he fits the role perfectly, but that the show’s trying to cut back on “stunt casting”.

“[W]e don’t want to turn into a guest of the week,” Steven said. “The audience loves our characters and we have enough of them!”
