Nikki Blonsky goes out to dinner at Madeo with Huge co-star Hayley Hasselhoff on Wednesday (March 31) in West Hollywood.
The 21-year-old actress and her co-star pal were joined by Hayley‘s mom, Pamela! Also pictured inside: Nikki arriving at LAX the day before their dinner.
Huge, the story of six teens attending and working at a weight loss camp, will debut on Monday, June 28 at 9/8c on ABC!
Hairspray star Nikki Blonsky and newcomer Hayley Hasselhoff are signed on to star in ABC Family’s upcoming series Huge, based on a book by Sasha Paley.
Hayley is the 17-year-old the daughter of Baywatch actor David Hasselhoff. The series will also star Zander Eckhouse, the son of James Eckhouse (Papa Jim Walsh in Beverly Hills 90210).
Huge, written by My So-Called Life creator Winnie Holzman and her daughter, Savannah Dooley, is being touted as Glee meets Ugly Betty. THR reports the “series will revolve around six teens and the staff at Wellness Canyon, a weight-loss camp. It centers on Will (Blonsky), a funny, opinionated overweight girl sent to the camp by her wealthy parents who own a chain of fitness centers, and Amber (Hasselhoff), a curvy teen who is the skinniest and hottest girl at the camp but who considers herself too heavy.”

Hairspray star Nikki Blonsky and America’s Next Top Model contestant Bianca Golden were freed from all assault charges stemming from the airport scuffle back in July. Nikki, 20, spoke to OK! about life post-fight:
On what she’s learned from the fight: “I saw the dark side of the industry. I never knew there were people willing to do anything to get their name in the paper. It’s a shame that someone will ruin a person’s life and beat them up to get their 10 minutes of fame back. I think it’s disgusting.”
On how she’s been coping: “We’re a strong family. The Ugly Betty cast has proven to me that there are good people in this business. Success is the best revenge.” (Her cameo airs this Thursday, January 8.)
On if Zac Efron and Amanda Bynes will return for the Hairspray sequel: “Zac has said he’d love to do it again, and I know Brittany Snow is down for sure. I don’t know about Amanda. I hope she will. I want to put on my Tracy Turnblad wig again and dance my little heart out.”
On her celebrity crush: “I’m not going to lie: [British actor] Ed Westwick from Gossip Girl. I think he’s adorable!”
Hairspray star Nikki Blonsky and America’s Next Top Model contestant Bianca Golden are free from all assault charges stemming from the airport brawl back in July. (Bianca claimed Nikki kicked her mother in the privates.)
“The cases against Nikki Blonsky and Bianca Golden have been dropped,” Turks and Caicos Police Sgt. Calvin Chase told E! News. “The only case that is still proceeding is against [Blonsky's] father.”
Nikki‘s father, Carl, 53, still faces charges of assault and inflicting grievous bodily harm. His sentence could send him to the slammer for up to five years.
Nikki is still set to appear as a guest star on Ugly Betty on Thursday, Jan. 8.
Nikki Blonsky revealed that the July 30th fight involving the family of Bianca Golden, a former contestant on America’s Next Top Model, left her “completely destroyed,” she told People.
Hairspray star Nikki Blonsky and her father, Carl, were arrested back in July, and then were later released on bail.
Blonsky says that the Bianca and her family became upset and enraged when some passengers were saving seats in the departure area. Bianca then demanded Blonsky not point her finger in her face.
“That’s when she stood up, pulled her arm all the way back and said, ‘F— you, you white b—-.’ And she closed her fist and punched me,” says Blonsky.
Now, Blonsky says she lives “every day in pain,” and that “the hardest part for me is to see my parents walk around in severe upset and sadness,” she says.
