Katie Holmes and her co-star Norbert Leo Butz hit the red carpet after the opening night performance of their new Broadway play Dead Accounts on Thursday (November 29) at the Music Box Theatre in New York City.

The 33-year-old actress received a bouquet of flowers on stage during the curtain call, where she was joined by co-stars Judy Greer, Josh Hamilton, and Jayne Houdyshell.

Maggie Grace, American Horror Story‘s Lily Rabe, and Brooke Shields all attended the show on opening night.

“God, I hope so,” Katie said when asked if she would want to do more Broadway. “It’s exciting because there’s no close-­up, so a person has to use every inch of themselves. The way their hand is says something. So you’re never done�”­and who wants to be done? It’s just another opportunity to keep growing.”

“If you try to layer something on the play that it doesn’t want or doesn’t need, it sticks out like a drunk uncle at a Thanksgiving meal,” Norbert said about the Theresa Rebeck play. “Theresa writes the way people really behave and really talk�”­and isn’t that funny?”

After the performance, the 33-year-old actress celebrated with her castmates at a local restaurant and then took the subway home with her bodyguard by her side.
