A Prince Harry Source Is Blasting the Latest Reports About Him & Prince William

A source close to Prince Harry is speaking out in response to criticism over his silence on the controversy surrounding his late mom Princess Diana‘s Panorama interview from 25 years ago.

A new inquiry was launched to investigate the circumstances that led to Diana‘s interview with BBC journalist Martin Bashir. The news network has hired a team to investigate whether unethical tactics were used to secure the interview.

For those that don’t know, this was a famous interview as Diana said there were “three of us in this marriage” to Prince Charles. She also spoke of her relationship with army officer James Hewitt.

Prince William released a statement on November 18, but Harry has not commented on the matter. Will said, “The independent investigation is a step in the right direction. It should help establish the truth behind the actions that led to the Panorama interview and subsequent decisions taken by those in the BBC at the time.”

Prince Harry Reportedly Inherited Princess Diana's Sapphire Ring, But Gave It To Prince William For Kate Middleton

Prince William famously gifted his mother, Princess Diana‘s sapphire engagement ring to Kate Middleton, when they got engaged in 2010.

However, it’s recently been revealed that it wasn’t actually his to give.

It turns out that Prince Harry inherited the piece of jewelry from Diana, who passed away in 1997 following a fatal car accident.

In the documentary, The Diana Story, which is on Amazon Prime, the Princess of Wales’ former butler Paul Burrell explained that Harry inherited the ring after Diana‘s passing, as he was allowed to select her favorite piece of jewelry from her collection.

Once William decided to propose to Kate, now the Duchess of Cambridge, Harry offered it to him.

“Harry said to him: ‘Wouldn’t it be fitting if she had mummy’s ring? Then one day that ring will be sat on the throne of England,’” Mr. Burrell shared.

He added that “Harry gave up his precious treasure. His one thing he kept from his mother, he gave to his brother. That’s selfless, kind and exactly who Diana was.”

Harry went on to design a custom ring for his now wife, Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, in 2017.

Just recently, more details have been revealed about how Harry felt after Buckingham Palace refused to lay a wreath for him for Remembrance Day.

Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Take Part In Private Remembrance Day Event in Los Angeles

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry might not have been in London to join their family for Remembrance Day services, but they did honor the event in Los Angeles.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were pictured arriving at the Los Angeles National Cemetery on Sunday afternoon (November 8), wearing red poppies and laying a few wreathes in tribute to those who have served and to those who gave their lives.

The couple laid flowers that Meghan picked from their garden at the gravesites of two commonwealth soldiers, one who had served in the Royal Australian Air Force and one from the Royal Canadian Artillery.

Harry and Meghan also placed a wreath at an obelisk in the cemetery that features a plaque that’s inscribed “In Memory of the Men Who Offered Their Lives in Defence of Their Country.”

He also signed a message with the wreath saying: “To all of those who have served, and are serving. Thank you.”

Harry and Meghan also wore their face masks while arriving at the cemetery, and removed them when they were a distance away from others.

Prince Harry's Request to Have Wreath Laid During Remembrance Day Ceremony Denied by Palace

Many members of the royal family joined Queen Elizabeth to pay their respects to fallen servicemen and women during Sunday’s (November 8) Remembrance Day, but Prince Harry was not included – despite his request.

The 36-year-old royal’s request to have a wreath of poppies laid at the memorial was turned down, according to The Sunday Times, marking the latest sign of his and wife Meghan Markle‘s estrangement from the royal family since stepping down from royal duties.

“The Duke of Sussex was refused permission for a wreath to be laid at the Cenotaph on his behalf today,” the outlet reported, adding that he “was denied by courtiers on the grounds that he is no longer representing the monarchy.”

“The Queen was not made aware of her grandson’s wish,” the report also reads, adding that he is “understood to be deeply saddened by the decision.”
