Season four of Riverdale will kick off with a tribute to Luke Perry.
Showrunner Robert Aguirre-Sacasa announced on Wednesday (June 19) that the hit CW show will be honoring the late 52-year-old actor in an episode titled “In Memoriam.”
“Probably the most important episode of #Riverdale weβll do this year, if not ever. A tribute to our fallen friend. Thankful for this opportunity to honor Luke & Fred. β€οΈπππ¨π»βπ»” Robert tweeted.
Luke‘s last appearance on Riverdale aired back in April and the absence of his character, Fred Andrews, has not been addressed on screen yet.
Luke passed away in March after suffering a stroke.
Riverdale season 4 premieres October 9 on The CW.
