Tilda Swinton leads an audience full of 1,500 people in a dance along to honor the late film critic Roger Ebert over the weekend at the 2013 Ebertfest event in Champaign, Ill.

“Tilda promised you that we are going to do something that they do at her film festival and film events in Scotland. We are going to have an audience dance along,” Roger‘s wife Chaz Ebert told the crowd.

“We’re not dancing up here. We’re coming down to dance with you because if we dance up here you’re just going to sit and watch us and laugh,” Tilda said before running down into the crowd to dance along to Barry White‘s song “You’re The First, The Last, My Everything.”

Earlier in the day, the 52-year-old actress and her boyfriend Sandro Kopp were spotted walking hand-in-hand as they picked up a few items at a local art supply store.

Tilda currently appears in W magazine’s May 2013 issue where she is covered in live centipedes.

Tilda Swinton is covered in real centipedes in this brand new feature from W magazine’s May 2013 issue.

Here’s what the 52-year-old actress had to share with the mag:

On having real centipedes on her face for the shoot: “Though they may look as if they were mechanically placed, we waited hours for these centipedes to crawl into their meaningful positions, decking me out with eyebrows and mustaches. ‘Ceci n’est pas une moustache,’ as Magritte might have put it.”

On beauty: “Being beautiful was never really something I associated with people I knew – certainly not girls. Boys maybe. Horses, yes, and certainly my great-grandmother Elsie Swinton, whose imperial grandeur was like a watermark.”

Tilda Swinton sleeps in a glass box for an entire day for a piece of performance art at the Museum of Modern Art on Saturday (March 23) in New York City.

The 52-year-old actress slept inside the box from opening till closing that day and will be reviving the piece randomly throughout the rest of the year.

“Museum staff doesn’t know she’s coming until the day of, but she’s here today. She’ll be there the whole day. All that’s in the box is cushions and a water jug,” a source told the Gothamist.

“Tilda Swinton will be doing unannounced, random performance art pieces sleeping in a glass box in the museum,” the source added. “Today is the first performance. Each performance lasts the whole day the museum is open.”

Tilda Swinton hits the red carpet at the private viewing of the David Bowie Is exhibit at the Victoria & Albert Museum on Wednesday (March 20) in London, England.

The 52-year-old actress was joined at the event by Rosario Dawson, Douglas Booth, Doctor Who‘s Matt Smith, model David Gandy, and actress Kaya Scodelario.

Tilda is currently filming a project called Snowpiercer. Based on a French graphic novel, it’s a thriller about a train full of travelers struggling to coexist in a world covered by ice and snow. She co-stars with Chris Evans in the flick, which is slated for release in 2013.

Ryan Phillippe holds on to to his girlfriend Paulina Slagter at the BOSS Black 2012 fashion show at the China National Agricultural Exhibition Center on Friday (May 18) in Beijing, China.

Tilda Swinton attended the show with her partner Sandro Kopp. The pair sat in the front row alongside Ryan, Paulina, and British actress China Chow.
