“In a shocking move, the ViacomCBS-owned cable network has reversed course on its January decision to renew the series for four more seasons. Instead, Tosh.0 will wrap its run with its 12th and now final season. The last 10 episodes return Sept. 15,” the outlet reported.

However, according to the report, sources say ViacomCBS is working with Team Tosh to shop the series to other outlets.

“I look forward to doing an animated reboot of my show on MTV in 25 years,” Tosh said in a statement of the news. The series finale airs November 24.

Netflix canceled all these shows after just one season.

'Tosh.0' Production Assistant Mistakenly Shot & Killed by LA Sheriff Deptuty

A production assistant from the Comedy Central series Tosh.0 was mistakenly shot and killed by a member of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The staffer, whose name was John Winkler, was mistaken for a stabbing subject and was fatally shot after deputies responded to an “assault with a deadly weapon, man with a knife call at an apartment complex in West Hollywood on Monday night,” according to the Sheriff’s Department (via The Wrap).

Deputies were directed to an apartment where they were told that the suspect was a thin white male who was wearing a black shirt. When they arrived at the apartment, the door opened and a man lunged out with John following closely behind. He met the description of the suspect so three deputies fired their weapons at him. It was then that they heard more commotion coming from the apartment and the real suspect was seen attacking another victim.

We send out thoughts and condolences to John‘s family during this difficult time.
