Jeremy Irvine is speaking out to urge people to see his new movie Stonewall before giving it any negative judgment.
The movie, in select theaters now, has been surrounded by controversy over certain choices made in retelling the story of the Stonewall riots, but what has been ignored is the emotional story that is in the film and the fantastic performances the actors are giving.
“Great to have #Stonewall out today and finally being able to see reviews like this from people who’ve actually seen it!” Jeremy captioned the below screencap on Instagram.
“Been interesting that the so called ‘babble’ has been from people who haven’t seen the movie yet which speaks for itself…” Jeremy continued. “Thank you to everyone who came to the premier, including the actual Stonewall veterans, it was a really magical and emotional atmosphere and thank you for the incredible reaction and support!! We’re all really proud to be able to share #Stonewall with you TODAY!”
