Secret Woody Allen Documentary Series Coming to HBO - Watch the Trailer

A new documentary about Woody Allen is coming to HBO.

Ronan Farrow, Dylan Farrow, and Mia Farrow all participated in Allen v. Farrow, which is promising to go “behind decades of sensational headlines to reveal the private story of one of Hollywood’s most notorious and public scandals: the accusation of sexual abuse against Woody Allen involving Dylan, his then 7-year-old daughter with Mia Farrow,” THR reported Friday (February 5).

The film was directed by Oscar-nominated documentarians Kirby Dick and Amy Ziering, and chronicles the former couple’s subsequent custody trial and the revelation of his relationship with her daughter, Soon-Yi Previn.

HBO will debut the first episode on February 21 at 9 p.m., with new episodes airing on subsequent Sundays at the same time.

The series was shot in secret, and features “investigative work pieced together via intimate home movie footage, court documents, police evidence, revelatory videotape and never-before-heard audio tapes.” There are also in-depth interviews on the subject with Mia Farrow, Dylan Farrow, Ronan Farrow, family friend Carly Simon, prosecutor Frank Maco, relatives, investigators, experts and other first-hand eyewitnesses, with many of them speaking publicly about the events for the first time.

An actress just came forward to say she regrets working with Woody Allen.

Kate Winslet Now Regrets Working with Woody Allen & Roman Polanski

Kate Winslet is opening up with how she feels about working with controversial directors Woody Allen and Roman Polanski, years after their movies were released.

The Oscar-winning actress starred in Allen‘s 2017 movie Wonder Wheel and in Polanski‘s 2011 movie Carnage. Both directors have been accused of sexual abuse.

Kate previously said that she had an “extraordinary working experience” with the directors, but now is expressing her regret.

“It’s like, what the f–k was I doing working with Woody Allen and Roman Polanski?” she said in a new interview with Vanity Fair.

“It’s unbelievable to me now how those men were held in such high regard, so widely in the film industry and for as long as they were,” she added. “It’s f–king disgraceful. And I have to take responsibility for the fact that I worked with them both. I can’t turn back the clock. I’m grappling with those regrets but what do we have if we aren’t able to just be f–king truthful about all of it?”

Kate says she’s speaking out now because “life is fucking short and I’d like to do my best when it comes to setting a decent example to younger women.”

Spike Lee Apologizes For His Comments Defending Woody Allen

Spike Lee is backtracking on his public support for Woody Allen.

The 63-year-old Oscar winning director has apologized after first supporting Woody and denouncing “cancel culture”.

“I’d just like to say Woody Allen is a great, great filmmaker, and this cancel thing is not just Woody,” Spike first said in a radio interview last week. “When we look back on it, we are going to see that you can’t just erase someone like they never existed. He’s a friend of mine and I know he’s going through it right now.”

After fans shared their disappointment about his words, Spike addressed them, apologizing.

“I Deeply Apologize. My Words Were WRONG. I Do Not And Will Not Tolerate Sexual Harassment, Assault Or Violence,” he wrote on Twitter. “Such Treatment Causes Real Damage That Can’t Be Minimized.-Truly, Spike Lee.”

Woody‘s estranged daughter, Dylan Farrow, retweeted Spike‘s apology and thanked him for it.

Spike Lee Calls Woody Allen His 'Friend,' Defends Him Against Cancel Culture

Spike Lee is speaking out against “cancel” culture and how it has affected his friend Woody Allen.

Woody was accused of molestation by his daughter Dylan Farrow and many celebs that he worked with over the years have said they regret making movies with him.

“I’d just like to say Woody Allen is a great, great filmmaker and this cancel thing is not just Woody,” Spike said on WOR’s “In the Morning” show (via TheWrap). “When we look back on it we are going to see that — short of killing somebody — I don’t know you just erase someone like they never existed.”

Woody is a friend of mine, a fellow Knick fan, and I know he’s going through it right now,” he added.

Spike was on the radio show to promote his new Netflix movie Da 5 Bloods, which is out now.

A couple weeks ago, Woody spoke out and slammed the actors who have denounced him.

Alec Baldwin Responds to Criticism for Promoting Woody Allen Interview on Blackout Tuesday

Alec Baldwin is defending his decision to post on Blackout Tuesday.

The 62-year-old actor took to his Instagram on Tuesday (June 2) to promote his new interview with Woody Allen, on his podcast “Here’s the Thing.”

“Woody Allen’s new book, Apropos of Nothing, starts with a portrait of his father, a tough-guy World War One Navy veteran and onetime gunman in a firing squad,” Alec wrote on Instagram. “It’s the first of a series of surprising, fascinating stories from a life that went from working-class Jewish Brooklyn in the 1940s to movie sets in Rome and Paris. The book also addresses the accusation of an incident of sexual abuse leveled by Dylan Farrow. Allen and Alec cover it all — plus how he’s doing in the age of coronavirus — in this candid and wide-ranging interview.”

Social media users then took to the comments to slam Alec for interviewing Woody because of the sexual assault allegations made against him. They also slammed Alec for posting on a Blackout Tuesday, which is a movement encouraging social media users to stop posting so they can educate themselves on Black Lives Matter.

Alec then fired back, writing, ““In the course of this podcast, we have often booked guests that have either requested or required a specific posting date in order to promote a project. We make every effort to honor those requests. Allen is no exception. As for the perceived lack of sensitivity re BlackOutTuesday, I had no idea about this … national day of whatever.”

“The professional lives of some people cannot be put on hold at the whims of political correctness,” Alec continued. “I believe Allen is innocent and that is my right. Posting a black screen today or any other day, though a decent sentiment, is not an effective political stance. Voting, and working to enroll others to vote, is more … practical.”

Woody Allen Slams the Actors Who Have Denounced Him

Woody Allen is speaking out to slam actors who have denounced him amid allegations from his daughter Dylan Farrow that he abused her as a child.

In a new interview with The Guardian, the filmmaker says that he never thought people would take Dylan‘s accusations seriously.

“I thought people would see it as laughable rubbish right away and from day one I never really took it seriously,” he said. “I mean, it’s like being confronted with a story that I murdered six people with a machine gun.”

Timothee Chalamet, Greta Gerwig, Rebecca Hall, Colin Firth, and Rachel Brosnahan are among the actors who have all vowed to never work with Allen again.

“It’s silly. The actors have no idea of the facts and they latch on to some self-serving, public, safe position. Who in the world is not against child molestation?” he said in response to celebs speaking out against him. “That’s how actors and actresses are, and [denouncing me] became the fashionable thing to do, like everybody suddenly eating kale.”

Dylan spoke out about actors still willing to work with Allen a couple years ago.
