James Franco Premieres 'Sal' in Texas

James Franco rocks a denim shirt at the premiere of his film Sal at the Paramount Theater on Sunday (October 23) in Austin, Texas.

On the red carpet, James discussed his desire to write Sal, which chronicles the final hours of the life of actor Sal Mineo.

“He was an actor I admire, but I just thought he had a particularly tragic story,” James said.
