Katherine Heigl Addresses Rumors That She's Difficult & Rude: 'I'm Not'

Katherine Heigl gives Meredith Vieira a side hug while making an appearance on The Meredith Vieira Show, which aired today.

On the show, the 36-year-old actress addressed rumors that she is difficult to work with.

“What I loved about the Facebook Q&A is that I could take my time and I realized that I like to talk a lot and I will type out the longest lengthiest answers, so I only answered 10 questions in 2 hours but I think I said, ‘Of course, I’ve heard that too and I’m not.’ And you know what, I’ve been saying I don’t think I am, but I’m going to be really honest right now, I’m not. I know I’m not. I don’t have to think about it. I’m not a rude person. I’m not an unkind or mean person. I would never go out of my way or consciously try to hurt anyone’s feelings or make them feel bad or uncomfortable or not be my professional, do my job, I like my job,” Katherine said on the show.

She continued, “I will continue to stand up for myself and I’m never going to stop standing up for my right to be heard, my right to be treated respectfully and professionally in return, my right to draw boundaries. I am a strong woman and I’m not going to apologize for that and I’m not going to on behalf of my daughters and I’m not going to on behalf of all of you sitting in the audience, we should all have the basic human right to say, ‘Hey, no I’m sorry, I’m not comfortable with that. I don’t like that. This is not okay for me.’ without it making me I can’t say the word, a b word.”
