Martin Landau Dead - Oscar Winner Dies at 89

Legendary actor Martin Landau has passed away at the age of 89, his rep confirms to Just Jared.

The 89-year-old actor starred in dozens of hits including Alfred Hitchcock‘s North by Northwest, Tim Burton‘s Ed Wood and Cleopatra, Mission: Impossible, and more.

“We are overcome with sadness to report the death of iconic actor Martin Landau on July 15th, 2017 at 1:30pm at UCLA Medical Center, where he succumbed to unexpected complications during a short hospitalization. He had just celebrated his 89th birthday,” Martin‘s rep told us.

Martin won the Academy Award back in 1994 for his work as Bela Lugosi in Ed Wood. He was also nominated for two additional Oscars.
