J. Cole is back with a new song!

The 36-year-old rapper just dropped his first new song in over two years, titled “i n t e r l u d e.”

On the new track, J. Cole pays tribute to the late rapper Pimp C, who died 2007, and Nipsey Hussle, who died 2019.

“My homie’ homie got out on parole / He sold more Coca-Cola than the soda industry / Summertime bring the coldest winter breeze,” J. Cole raps. “Hella blues like the Rollin’ 60′s / Christ went to Heaven aged thirty-three / And so did Pimp C and so did Nipsey.”

“i n t e r l u d e” is the first track off of J. Cole‘s upcoming album The Off-Season, which he will be releasing next week on Friday, May 14.

The Off-Season is a follow up to J. Cole‘s last studio album KOD, which he released back in 2018.
