Shonda Rhimes Reveals How Many Seasons of 'Bridgerton' She Thinks There Should Be

Shonda Rhimes is talking Bridgerton.

During the interview, she confirmed production on the second season of the show was still ongoing in the United Kingdom, and that Netflix has already renewed it through to Season 4.

However, she said that she thinks it’s got even further to go on the streamer.

“There are eight Bridgerton siblings, and as far as I’m concerned, there are eight Bridgerton seasons. And maybe more,” she revealed.

She also opened up about how negotiations went with Netflix.

“Usually negotiations are long and protracted and painful and back and forth. And I always say it feels like somebody wants to kick you before they give you the pony,” she said, however: “It felt very much like everybody was on the same page.”

“For Netflix, the definition of a Netflix show is a show that people want to watch. Period.”
