Nicki Minaj Denies That New Lyrics Are About Demi Lovato's Sexuality

Nicki Minaj is speaking out in response to fans thinking she called out Demi Lovato in her new song “Do We Have a Problem?”

For a little background, Nicki and Demi have feuded online in the past. The two music stars attended the Met Gala in 2016 with the same designer and seemingly didn’t get along, based on comments left on social media after the event.

Two years later, Demi said that while at the event, “this one celebrity was a complete b–ch and was miserable to be around. It was very cliquey. I remember being so uncomfortable that I wanted to drink.”

In the final lines of Nicki‘s new song, she raps, “Heavy on the ski mask, too / And the ski mask ain’t for the pan-demi’ / It go with the semi, paid a pretty damn penny.”

Demi came out as pansexual last year and fans suspected that the “pan-demi” lyric was in reference to them.

Nicki saw someone tweet about it and replied. She said, “Whet is THIS honey? Chi I just shortened the word pandemic. bye ✌🏾.”
