Quinta Brunson Wins First Emmy, Fans Call Out Jimmy Kimmel for Stealing Her Moment

Quinta Brunson is an Emmy winner!!

The 32-year-old actress, writer, and comedian won her first Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series for her hit ABC series Abbott Elementary at the 2022 Emmy Awards on Monday (September 12) at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

While it was an incredible moment for Quinta, Jimmy Kimmel kind of stole the spotlight from her.

Will Arnett dragged out a “passed out” Jimmy on stage to present the award, and joked that Jimmy got “drunk” after losing the Emmy yet again to John Oliver.

Instead of getting up to end the bit after Quinta won, Jimmy continued to lay on the stage and Quinta had to stand over him while giving her acceptance speech.

After the moment occurred, Emmy watchers took to Twitter to react, and they are not happy that Jimmy‘s “bit” overshadowed Quinta‘s moment.
