Brendan was set to play a big role in the cancelled Batgirl movie, which would have starred Leslie Grace.

“It was a story about a guy who had been in the service and his benefits were cut, and he was very angry with the system and what else is he gonna do but burn it to the ground,” he said of his character Firefly. “You’ve got some sympathy to him. You’ve also got some humanity to him on top of that screw loose because you know he’s a bad guy. But is he really? All the best bad guys you like them a little bit.”

“It’s in a vault somewhere,” he said of the fully shot footage, adding that he hadn’t even seen the footage.

He previously referred to the decision to can the movie as “tragic.”
