Swifties Credit Taylor Swift for Plummeting Cost of Eggs After Trevor Noah's Grammys Request

Taylor Swift jokingly told Trevor Noah that her fans can accomplish anything when he asked her to sic them on the high price of eggs during the 2023 Grammys, and it appears that she might not be lying.

If you missed it, the Grammys host asked the “Shake It Off” hitmaker to put her fans to work in the midst of a bit during the ceremony on Sunday (February 5).

Days later, a report by CNBC noted that the wholesale price of a dozen eggs “collapsed” by more than 50% the Monday following the awards show. The news came after the price rose to record highs in December.

Cue Swifties and other fandoms taking to social media to give Taylor her roses for saving us all from unaffordable eggs!

A TikTok shared by SiriusXM Hits 1 drew parallels between Trevor‘s ask and the prodigious drop, and the comments section was flooded with fan reactions.

“I’m terrified of swifties now,” one commenter wrote.

“The government works hard, but swifties work harder,” another joked.

Some called for Taylor to run for president. Another recommended President Joe Biden recruit “the force of swifties.”

“I work in a grocery store and we literally lowered egg prices today,” another user wrote.
