Da Brat Is Pregnant; Expecting First Child With Wife Jesseca "Judy" Dupart

Da Brat is expecting her first baby!

The 48-year-old rapper showed off her baby bump in a series of photos, as part of a high-fashion maternity shoot.

This will be Da Brat and her wife, Jesseca “Judy” Dupart‘s first child together.

Speaking to People, Da Brat revealed that while the couple first said they were “extending their family” last year, they didn’t think it would actually happen.

“It started as a joke, we were like, ‘We’re extending our family!’” she shared with the outlet. “But then we got a huge response. It was like, ‘Oh my God do we want to actually have kids, and if we do, girl, we better hurry up!’”

Jesseca does have three children from a previous relationship. However, Da Brat didn’t think she would ever have children of her own.

“I never thought I was going to have kids,” she said. “I just thought it wasn’t in the cards for me. I’ve had a great career, a full life. I felt like, because I didn’t get pregnant earlier on, then it just wasn’t going to happen for me.”

But, Da Brat added that she “started looking at life so differently. I was like, I want a little me with you. Something special from the both of us that we can share and raise and love unconditionally.”

As for Da Brat being the one to carry the baby, Jesseca said that there was a “little tug-o-war in the beginning” about it. “But I felt like she should have the experience. She is so nurturing.”

Da Brat and Jesseca were married in February last year.
