Jason Sudeikis & 'Ted Lasso' Cast's White House Visit Crashed by Trent Crimm

Jason Sudeikis pulls Karine Jean-Pierre into a side hug during his visit to the White House in Washington, DC, on Monday (March 20).

The 47-year-old actor was joined by his Ted Lasso co-stars Toheeb Jimoh, Brett Goldstein, Hannah Waddingham, and Brendan Hunt for the special visit, which focused on the importance of mental health.

“No matter who you are, no matter where you live, no matter who you voted for, we all probably… know someone, or have been that someone ourselves actually, that’s struggled, that’s felt isolated, that’s felt anxious, that’s felt alone,” Jason shared in a statement. “And it’s actually one of the many things, believe it or not, that we all have in common as human beings.”

He added, “That means it’s something that we can, and should, talk about with one another when we’re feeling that way, or when we when we recognize that in someone feeling that way. So, please, we encourage everyone — and this is a big theme of the show — to check in with your neighbor, your coworker, your friends, your family, and ask how they’re doing and listen.”

The press briefing was actually crashed by Trent Crimm, “fake journalist”!

If you’re an avid watcher of the Apple TV+ series, Trent, played by James Lance, is one of Ted’s biggest and toughest critics.

While taking questions from the press, Trent asked Jason about what he thought of Kansas City (his hometown) being named one of the hosting cities for the 2026 World Cup.
