Britney Spears Addresses Being Bullied by the Media as Sources Continue Speak Out About Her Wellbeing

Britney Spears is calling out “bullying” amid continued interest in her wellbeing.

The 41-year-old “My Prerogative” pop star took to social media to call out “hateful things” that are being said about her in the press.

Shortly after she did so, a new report shed light on what’s going on behind the scenes and how she is really doing.

An insider told People that Britney remains “free” as she navigates life after her conservatorship. Of course, it hasn’t all been easy for her.

“She had been under lock and key for 13 years. Have there been ups and downs? Yes,” they explained. “But some of the amazing things she’s done recently have all been her choice. She is a survivor. Despite whatever ups and downs she’s going through, she remains a survivor.”

A day before the positive report, Britney issued her own statement about the media on Instagram.

“I don’t like people in media bullying me and saying hateful things,” she wrote near the end of a lengthy post about finding her way. She then shifted the focus, asking her fans how they were holding up.

Earlier this month, some of Britney‘s former collaborators revealed what it was like to work with her during the conservatorship, sharing a sad perspective.

Meanwhile, Britney recently got a major shoutout from a fellow pop icon.
