In an interview with The Guardian, the 22-year-old singer revealed she thinks “Boy’s a Liar” is “crap.”

“I didn’t expect it to be my biggest song. I thought on an internet level it was going to be big. I didn’t expect it to be big on the radio.”

When asked what she thought of the track and its remix, which features Ice Spice, she said: “They’re crap. The songs that are not my greatest are the ones that do better.”

However, she clarified her thoughts on Twitter: “lord help us 😂 I told the journalist I thought the OG was crap at first but the remix made me love it, I’ve said this openly before too false narratives be like.”

“That was great, good for me,” the Australian singer told Nova’s Smallzy of the song’s smash hit success.

“Like I wrote that song on my own not trying to do a single thing and it happened. But I don’t want to like just try to chase that song. I loathe that song a lot of the time. Like a lot of time, I don’t want to sing it. I’m not gonna write another song like it. I just want to tell people how I’m feeling.”
