'Suits' Secrets Only Superfans Know (Including the Actor Who Competed With Meghan Markle for Her Role!)

Both Gabriel and Patrick shared the screen with their real-life partners Jacinda Barrett and Troian Bellisario, respectively.

“Troian comes in and plays a character from my past, so we have a flashback together, which like anything on Suits, can come to play a part in the present. But as of now, she just shot a flashback,” Patrick told Just Jared back in 2015, adding that there was always the possibility that she’d come back ion a more regular role.

What was it like for them to work together? “It was great. It was a little nerve-racking at first,” he explained. “I was about to start directing the next day, so I was a little distracted, but having her on set was so much fun. She made it so easy. Obviously, we get along really well and have some chemistry. We enjoy each other’s company and she’s such a pro. She came to set ready to work and kept things moving. So it was a really quick, easy, amazing day. And apparently really successful. Everybody who’s seen the episode says it’s really great”

Gabriel Macht’s family helped him figure out all of the legal things that he needed to know…

While Gabriel obviously isn’t a lawyer himself, he told Metro that he didn’t have to do any big research to get into character thanks to his family history.

“I have a family full of lawyers: my sister was a District Attorney in the Bronx, my cousin is a lawyer, my aunt is a lawyer, my grandfather was a judge and one of my closest friends was a much nicer version of Harvey in LA, before becoming an advisor to Jerry Brown, Governor of California,” he explained, adding that he himself was never interested in following in their footsteps.
