Melissa Reeves announces Days of Our Lives return, with one concern

Melissa Reeves is gearing up to return to DooL later this year. The actress made her debut as Jennifer Horton on the sudser back in 1985 and has played her on and off over the years. Her last appearance was in 2021.

Speaking to TV Line, Melissa revealed that her new episodes would air in November. She’ll also partake in a tribute to Bill Hayes, who sadly passed away this year. She told the outlet that her one concern was taking the role from Cady McClain, who has been playing Jennifer in recent years.

“My one thing was, ‘I’m not taking this away from Cady. If this is Cady’s thing and she loves being here and she really loves playing this part, I don’t want to take it away from her. I’m so good either way,’” she told the outlet after stressing that she was so excited to return. “I’m a huge fan of Cady’s. I even Instagram messaged her, ‘Oh, my God, I’m so grateful you’re playing my part! I’m honored.’ But it worked out.”
