Lionel Richie Mourns the Death of One of His 'Closest Friends' Kenny Rogers

Lionel Richie is remembering his late friend, Kenny Rogers.

The 70-year-old music star posted a tribute to the late entertainer, who sadly died at 81 on Saturday (March 21).

“Today I lost one of my closest friends 💔 So much laughter so many adventures to remember, my heart is broken. My prayers go out to Kenny’s Family,” he wrote.

Lionel wrote Kenny‘s 1980 hit, “Lady.” The two also shared the stage many times over the years.
