One of our favorite parts of 2013 was starting up our brand new Just Jared Spotlight of the Week series featuring some of Hollywood’s hottest talent!

Each week we spotlighted a different entertainer with a full exclusive photo shoot and interview, showing these actors, singers, and more in a whole new light for our readers and their fans.

Since kicking things off in July, we’ve featured some great talent such as Lily Collins, Priyanka Chopra, Chord Overstreet, and more. Since we are taking a break this week while celebrating the new year, we decided to recap some of the spotlight shoots from 2013 as we look ahead into 2014. We already have a bunch of fantastic people to present to you in the coming weeks and we can’t wait to see what else is in store for the Spotlight of the Week series!

This past year has been full of breakthrough performances in film and television – from Michael B. Jordan‘s heart-wrenching portrayal of Oscar Grant in Fruitvale Station and Lupita Nyong’o‘s Oscar-worthy acting in 12 Years of Slave to Tatiana Maslany‘s amazing alter-egos in Orphan Black and Adam Driver‘s Emmy-nominated role on Girls.

As 2013 draws to a close, we couldn’t help but shine the spotlight on some of the most stylish celebrities of the year!

These celebs – who come from the film, television, music, and sports worlds – have wowed us with their style at fashion’s biggest nights like the Met Ball and Oscars as well as with their casual street style.

Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, Bradley Cooper, Diane Kruger, Jennifer Lawrence, and Rihanna are just some of the most stylish stars who showed off their style throughout the past year.

2013 has been quite the year for some of our favorite celebs, and the news created has left us feeling a whole range of different emotions, from shocked, to ecstatic, to stunned, and beyond.

This past year, we have seen some shocking celebrity break-ups.

The 2013 year began with some pretty shocking splits including Britney Spears and Jason Trawick, as well as the fan favorite romance of Harry Styles and Taylor Swift.

Other shockers these past couple of months included Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley and Torrey DeVitto, George Clooney and Stacy Keibler, and many more.

Some breakups, however, have ended in a reconciliation! John Mayer and Katy Perry were rumored to have gone their separate ways, but the two are still going strong.

So many new celebrity babies were born into the world this past year!

Towards the beginning of the year, Jeremy Renner welcomed an adorable little girl named Ava Berlin. In June, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West welcomed their baby girl North West a few weeks early, and the Internet went a buzz when her first picture was finally revealed! What a cutie!

In July, the Royal Baby was born to Kate Middleton and Prince William – we found out his full name, George Alexander Louis, a few days later.

Other notable births include Fergie and Josh Duhamel‘s son Axl, Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez‘s son Maceo, Kate Winslet and Ned Rocknroll‘s newborn son Bear, Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan‘s daughter Everly, and many more!
