The 42-year-old actress was joined by Octavia Spencer, Angela Bassett, and New Girl‘s Hannah Simone and Lamorne Morris.

Will Smith looks so dapper while presenting an award on stage at the 2015 NAACP Image Awards presented by TV One at Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Friday evening (February 6) in Pasadena, Calif.

The 46-year-old actor presented the award for Outstanding Motion Picture to Selma.

Also in attendance at the show were Taye Diggs (with girlfriend Amanza Smith Brown), Get On Up‘s Chadwick Boseman, Resurrection‘s Omar Epps (with wife Keisha), Criminal Minds‘ winner Shemar Moore, True Blood‘s Mehcad Brooks, and singer Aloe Blacc (with wife Maya Jupiter).

Spike Lee was presented with the NAACP President’s Award at the event in recognition of special achievement and distinguished public service.

The cast of How to Get Away With Murder cast walks the red carpet at the 2015 NAACP Image Awards presented by TV One at Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Friday evening (February 6) in Pasadena, Calif.

Stepping out for the show were nominees Aja Naomi King and Alfred Enoch, as well as Karla Souza, Matt McGorry, Jack Falahee, Liza Weil, Charlie Weber, Katie Findlay, and Billy Brown.

Noticeably absent was star Viola Davis, who won the award for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series. The show also picked up the award for Outstanding Drama Series at the event.

Oprah Winfrey watches the show at the 2015 NAACP Image Awards presented by TV One at Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Friday evening (February 6) in Pasadena, Calif.

The 61-year-old television personality was joined at the event by her Selma co-stars David Oyelowo, Tessa Thompson, Common, Carmen Ejogo, and Niecy Nash.

Selma took home the award for Outstanding Motion Picture, while David won Best Actor, Common won Best Supporting Actor, and Carmen won Best Supporting Actress.

“We did this movie because we wanted to tell their story – our story,” Oprah said as she accepted the award.

The outstanding achievements and performances of people of color in the arts were celebrated during an inspiring evening at the 2015 NAACP Image Awards held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Friday (February 6) in Pasadena, Calif.

The big winner of the night was the movie Selma, which took home the awards for Outstanding Motion Picture, Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture for David Oyelowo, and many other awards.

Black-ish was a big winner in the television categories with Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series for Anthony Anderson, Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series for Tracee Ellis Ross, and more.

Entertainer of the Year went to Taraji P. Henson, who also won Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture for her work in the film No Good Deed.

Uzo Aduba hits the stage at the 2015 NAACP Image Awards presented by TV One at Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Friday evening (February 6) in Pasadena, Calif.

The Orange is the New Black actress was joined by her co-star Laverne Cox for the red carpet event.

During the show, Uzo presented Black-ish star Anthony Anderson with the award for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series.

In addition to Anthony, his co-star Tracee Ellis Ross took home Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series, their on-screen daughter Yara Shahidi won Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, and the show itself took home Outstanding Comedy Series.
