Ben Platt poses for a photo with Zoe Saldana while attending the 2019 National Arts Awards on Monday night (October 21) at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City.

The 26-year-old The Politician actor was honored with the Ted Arison Young Artists Award during the event.

“It’s a real privilege that I get to do what I love. I grew up overly blessed — my parents instilled in me many beautiful things, not the least of which is the arts. And I had unbelievable access to arts education, which allowed me to flex my talent and find my tribe and my belonging. This is holy work being done: ensuring that arts education is for everyone, not just the people lucky enough to be born into it like I was,” Ben said during his speech.

Zoe, who was joined by husband Marco Perego, was on hand to present the Carolyn Clark Powers Lifetime Achievement Award to artist Luchita Hurtado.

Also in attendance at the event were singer Ben Folds and Tony winner Patina Miller.

Kesha takes the stage in a white suit for a touching performance at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards held at the T-Mobile Arena on Sunday (May 22) in Las Vegas.

The 29-year-old singer gave a moving tribute performance in honor of Bob Dylan and she sang his classic song “It Ain’t Me Babe.”

Kesha was joined on stage by singer-songwriter Ben Folds, who welcomed her to his concert stage last week after Dr. Luke canceled her performance at the awards show.

Kesha wears a purple suit while hitting the red carpet at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards held at the T-Mobile Arena on Sunday (May 22) in Las Vegas.

The 29-year-old singer walked the carpet with her pal Ben Folds.

Kesha is set to hit the stage to perform a tribute to Bob Dylan during the show and when Dr. Luke initially blocked her performance, she went to Ben‘s concert to give the performance she was planning on doing.

Perhaps Ben will be joining her on stage tonight for the performance?!

Ben Folds invited Kesha to perform with him on Wednesday (May 18) at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles after their Billboard Music Awards performance was cancelled at the hands of Dr. Luke.

Sara Bareilles is joining the judges’ table on the NBC talent competition The Sing-Off!

The 31-year-old singer and songwriter, along with fellow judges Ben Folds and Boyz II Men‘s Shawn Stockman, will try to find the best a capella group when the show’s third season, hosted by Nick Lachey, kicks off Monday, Sept. 19, at 8 p.m.

“A cappella music is very near and dear to my heart, and I have been a huge fan of the show from the beginning,” Sara said. “I love the opportunity to be a part of something that celebrates a genre of music that I just adore and believe in. I can’t wait for it to start.”

“Sara will bring a sublime technical knowledge and huge appreciation for The Sing-Off,” Paul Telegdy, NBC’s executive VP of alternative programming, added.
