“You are at home, you’re not with your friends, you’re not with your family, you are not able to do the things that make you feel worthwhile…you’re kind of in this costume of depression…right now, there’s also immense pain and sadness ricocheting around the world constantly so it’s hard to feel totally positive all day every day when the world is sad, it’s dangerous and it’s scary and it’s lonely,” she admitted.

“Meditation or going for a walk, being kind to your body…those little things make a difference ultimately.”

As for what she’s been doing: “I’ve been reading a lot and watching a lot of movies and working on production stuff, trying to be productive.”

She also spoke about directing “Cry Cry Cry”: “That experience was just pretty dreamy. I am so grateful I was given the opportunity… I was working with such incredible artists in every department… I felt extremely privileged to make that video,” she said.

Chris Martin Talks About Having His Kids Perform with Coldplay

Chris Martin performs on stage with his band Coldplay during the inaugural Radio.com Live Event Series show on Friday (January 17) in Los Angeles.

The 42-year-old singer joked in an interview with the outlet that he and the band “force” their kids to work for them.

If you didn’t know, Chris‘ kids are featured on the song “Orphans” from the band’s new album Everyday Life.

“Well we’ve always kind of forced our children to work,” Chris joked. “We really appreciate the Victorian times of young British children getting an honest day’s pay.”

“Whenever we’re on tour, any of the kids that are around, we’ll drag them on stage for something or other. It just so happened that when I was doing the demo of that song ‘Orphans’ I just asked my children and a couple of their friends, and then ultimately loads more people if they would sing the chorus. They’re so sweet about it, and of course we do pay them properly,” he said. “Of course I’m bias, but I really like listening to them. So to be me they made the song sound great.”
