Ben Affleck will reportedly be reteaming with his Gone Girl crew, director David Fincher and writer Gillian Flynn, for a remake of the Alfred Hitchcock movie Strangers On A Train.

The 42-year-old actor will play a version of the original movie’s Farley Granger, a man bored with his marriage who wants a divorce and ends up in a deal with a crazy socialite to exchange murders of their loved ones. With a twist in the script, Ben will be playing a movie star in the middle of an Oscar big who’s plane breaks down and is given a ride by a different wealthy plane owner, Deadline reports.

The film will reportedly be fast-tracked despite Ben‘s busy schedule.

Gone Girl author and screenwriter Gillian Flynn just revealed she’s open to doing a sequel to the hit movie.

“There could be a sequel at some point if everyone is game to get the gang back together, it could be really fun a few years from now,” the 43-year-old writer said. “We could pick it up and see what those crazy Dunnes are up to a few years down the road and if they got on – not well I don’t think. I would have to have the exact same people to do it – I would want Rosamund [Pike], Ben [Affleck] and [David] Fincher to do it.”
