Kelsea Ballerini is making her very first appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast and host Alex Cooper asked all the questions you want to know.

The 29-year-old country star spoke extensively about her split from her husband of nearly five years, Morgan Evans, 37. The pair announced their split in the summer of 2022. Their divorce was finalized in November.

Now, we’re learning what lead to the split, when they last spoke, what happened when she brought up freezing her eggs, and so much more. In addition, she spoke about her new romance with Chase Stokes, how they first connected and her very first message to him.

Morgan Evans has responded to the comments ex-wife Kelsea Ballerini made about their marriage, just months after their divorce was finalized.

If you didn’t see, Kelsea opened up about their relationship in a new interview, and recalled asking herself how she was married to him.

“We hadn’t seen each other, there was a lack of effort to see each other,” she shared during an appearance on Call Her Daddy podcast, via People. “I was getting resentful because any time we did see each other, I felt like I was carrying that load, and I was tired. I was just tired of showing up in that way all the time and not feeling like I was seen or matched.”

Kelsea then said she was put off by his own song he released about their split, “Over You”. She also released an EP about it.

“As he’s putting out a song about being blindsided, he’s taking half the house that he didn’t pay for,” she adds. “How was I married to this person for this long and I had no idea that that bit of character was tucked within that human being?”

Now though, Morgan has released a response.

Chase Stokes and Kelsea Ballerini still haven’t confirmed that they are an item, but the Outer Banks actor has no problem speaking candidly about the country star.

If you missed it, Chase and Kelsea have been linked since mid-January, when they appeared in a cuddly photo together. Since then they’ve also been seen holding hands.

Earlier this month, Chase spoke about Kelsea but stopped short of letting the public know that they were dating.

He revealed how he really feels about her on Thursday night (February 16) at the Season 3 premiere of Outer Banks.

Kelsea Ballerini wore the most perfect Valentine’s Day dress for Carolina Herrera‘s fashion show this week!

The 29-year-old country star sat front row with Rachel Zoe, Charlotte Lawrence, Melissa Barrera, Maddie Ziegler, Larsen Thompson, Tinx, Jessica Wang, Sai De Silva, and Bailey Bass for the fashion show during New York Fashion Week on Monday (February 13).

Kelsea‘s appearance at the fashion presentation came just before her new six-track EP, and short film, debuted.

Titled Rolling Up the Welcome Mat, the project focused on the demise of her marriage from Morgan Evans.

“These are six songs I wish I had last year,” Kelsea told People. “It’s about the complexities of the feelings you go through during a massive shift at a young age.”

She added that “Rolling Up the Welcome Mat was how I processed everything. It’s the way I got my feelings out of my body and heart and put them to music — which is the purest way I could’ve handled it.”

Becky G, Kelsea Ballerini, Nicky Hilton and Lexi Underwood were just a few of the stars to attend the Prabal Gurung show at the New York Public Library during New York Fashion Week on Friday (February 10) in New York City.

Each of the celebs rocked a striking look. Becky wore a bold minidress with a colorful flower print. Kelsea opted for a gown with cutouts and a sheer skirt. Nicky also went for a bold print in a longer dress with an off-the-shoulder neckline. Lexi looked cool in a nude coat dress.
