Lisa Banes, an actress best known for playing Marybeth Elliott in Gone Girl, has sadly passed away after being critically injured in a hit-and-run scooter accident earlier this month.
The accident happened on June 4 while Lisa, 65, was on her way to meet up with her wife Kathryn Kranhold for a dinner party on the Upper West Side.
Lisa suffered a traumatic brain injury and was unable to recover. She died from the injuries on Monday (June 14), according to the New York Post.
The hit-and-run driver has still not been caught and an NYPD spokesperson says that no arrests have been made. The driver was seen riding a red and black scooter and was going northbound on Amsterdam Avenue.
We’re sending our thoughts and condolences to Lisa‘s loved ones during this difficult time.
