Megyn Kelly is reacting to being played by Charlize Theron in the upcoming Bombshell.

During a recent interview, the 48-year-old former NBC News talk show host admitted she “didn’t know anything about” the film, but doesn’t seem to mind being played by the 44-year-old Oscar-winning actress.

“I’m her fan,” Megyn shared with Daily Mail. “She seems smart, seems like a good mom, so I could do worse.”

Bombshell chronicles the downfall of Roger Ailes and the Fox News sexual harassment scandal from the point of view of Megyn, Gretchen Carlson and Kayla Pospisil – the women directly impacted by the scandal.

As to whether or not she’ll watch the film, Megyn told the news outlet, “I haven’t decided yet.”

Charlize stars in the film alongside Nicole Kidman, Margot Robbie, Kate McKinnon, Allison Janney, and John Lithgow.

Megyn Kelly has finalized her NBC exit.

The 48-year-old television personality parted ways with the network following her controversial discussion of blackface worn for Halloween costumes.

Megyn‘s agreement with NBC will pay her the remainder of her $69 million contact and also does not include a non-compete clause, which means she is free to work elsewhere immediately.

“The parties have resolved their differences, and Megyn Kelly is no longer an employee of NBC,” a network spokesperson told THR.

Exit discussions have been ongoing since October 25th, with her Today hour being cancelled the following day.

The 43-year-old Oscar winner transformed into news anchor Megyn Kelly while wearing a short, blonde wig paired with a jacket, jeans, and sunglasses as she spent the day on set.

As previously reported, the movie will follow her career as she rose up through the ranks from lawyer to host of The Kelly File and how she refused to come out in support of Roger after sexual harassment allegations.

The 43-year-old actress, who will play the 47-year-old TV host in an upcoming untitled Roger Ailes movie, was seen on the set on Thursday (October 25) in Los Angeles.

The pictures come just at the same time as Megyn makes headlines for her blackface commentary controversy, which resulted in her Today morning show hour being canceled.

As previously reported, the movie will follow her career as she rose up through the ranks from lawyer to host of The Kelly File and how she refused to come out in support of Roger after sexual harassment allegations.

Gayle King is speaking out about Megyn Kelly‘s commentary on blackface, which cost her Megyn Kelly Today.

The CBS This Morning host made an appearance on Late Night With Stephen Colbert on Thursday evening (October 25).

“Listen, I have blackface 24/7 so it is never an issue for me. I thought Andy Lack, who runs NBC, summed it up very nicely when he said it was a very unfortunate thing,” she said.

“I think [Megyn]’s a very smart cookie, very smart at what she does, but I think she clearly stepped in it. She made a terrible mistake. And I was surprised that she would make a mistake of that kind because she’s very smart.”

“And I didn’t like it when she said Santa Claus is white. She said a couple of things,” she later added.

Following multiple reports, NBC officially confirmed that Megyn Kelly Today will not be returning.

The network confirmed the news on Friday afternoon (October 26) in a statement.

“Megyn Kelly Today is not returning. Next week, the 9 a.m. hour will be hosted by other Today co-anchors,” the statement reads.

Megyn was reportedly in talks with NBC News regarding a new role that would find her involved in hard news stories, as opposed to morning program topics, before controversy arose after Megyn‘s discussion of blackface worn for Halloween costumes.

She reportedly wants a $50 million buyout from her contract.
