It looks like Seattle Seahawks player Richard Sherman could become a father while he plays in the 2015 Super Bowl against the New England Patriots!

The 26-year-old athlete’s girlfriend Ashley Moss is due to give birth to their son in early February, but there’s a possibility he could come early.

“I think he’s going to be a disciplined young man and stay in there until after the game,” Richard told reporters (via ESPN). “He’s going to do his father his first favor and stay in there for another week or two.”

As for whether he may have to skip the game, Richard said, “That’s a topic of debate? I’m focused on the game. He’s not supposed to come on Sunday. If he does, that would change some things. I’ve thought about the possibility of his coming during the game or coming before the game.”

He added, “We have things in place in case that happens. We’ll cross that bridge when we get there. But I didn’t know it was a topic of national debate, honestly. I would not like to miss the birth of my first kid, but hopefully and God willing, we won’t have to cross that bridge.”

There are only a matter of days left until the 2015 Super Bowl and as the players prepare for the big game, they took some time to speak to reporters.

The 26-year-old football player is the cornerback for the Seattle Seahawks and his team will be playing against the New England Patriots in next week’s Super Bowl.

Richard spoke out about how he is upset over “Deflate-gate” and nobody being penalized for their actions in it.

“[Deflategate is] not going to have any effect on this game,” Sherman said (via HuffPo). “Nobody is going to get suspended [for the Super Bowl], and nothing’s going to happen.”

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman was just revealed to have a right ankle injury, and his return to the remainder of the 2014 Super Bowl game has been “listed as doubtful”.

The 25-year-old football star had a great game up until his injury, when he went down in the third quarter and clutched his leg. He returned for the fourth quarter, but was then re-injured.

“Richard Sherman has an ankle injury and his return is doubtful. #SB48″ the Seahawks Twitter wrote just a few minutes ago.

An ankle injury can result in several months of rehab for a football player, sources say.
