Julia Roberts: 'Eat, Pray, Love' Premiere with Javier Bardem!

Julia Roberts hits the red carpet with co-star Javier Bardem at the premiere of Eat, Pray, Love at NYC’s Ziegfeld Theatre on Tuesday (August 10).

The 42-year-old actress and her co-star apparently were at ease with each other right away! “The moment I was on the set with her (Roberts), I felt really relaxed,” Javier told the Vancouver Sun.

“That’s enormous value, for any actor, to feel you’re working with somebody who’s creative, intelligent, and generous, but also makes you part of the journey,” he added.

Glee creator Ryan Murphy directed the film – and Brad Pitt produced!

FYI: Julia‘s blazer is made by Stella McCartney. She paired it with Me & Ro Jewelry, Roger Vivier sandals and DVF shorts and Coomi bangles.

Wow, she looks gorgeous and Javier is hot! Nice legs Julia!

She looks great. I’m sure she has had a little filler but I think it’s from being rich and never having a worry in the world.

# 9

I don’t like the mini on her but they look cute together.

This movie will be a pass for me, sounds like its about a self-obsessed woman, “look at me me me, poor me me me”. I heard somewhere that it’s all about the self pitying Elizabeth Gilbert, that even the countries she went to start with the letter “I”: India, Italy Indonesia….I also heard that the book is lame and boring with no substance to it….

Her legs are to long a skinny for that mini.

some extracts from readers’ reviews of the book Eat Pray whatever…on…interesting…

….This is supposed to be a journey to fight the ego. However, we find nothing but long descriptions of how she feels, and why, and events that happened to her… It’s too self-centered, I’d say….

…..Very boring indeed and I usually love books but I found this author talked too much about herself and not about anything else interesting for the readers…..

…..It’s very rare for me not to finish a book and usually read books quite quickly, but I am getting so bored with this one that I am considering getting rid of it…

…..I was half asleep through India, I’m afraid. And found the I-I-I me-me-me approach tedious. Average woman, living average life goes travelling and navel gazes. If she had turned the attention away from her wallowing self and travelled to, say, Iraq, or Somalia, or Afghanistan, rolled up her sleeves and got her hands dirty, not by scrubbing floors, but by helping others ‘find themselves’ and rebuild their lives – now THAT would be a book worth reading! ….

Eat, Drink, Pray, then shut the hell up you homewrecking man stealing ho bag.

Oh FYI, there are some reviews of the movie:

By Jessica Walker

I was very fortunate last week to be invited to an early preview of the movie Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman’s Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia staring Julia Roberts due out August 13th. I will refrain from spewing the details but I do have to say… FINALLY A GREAT MOVIE! The casting was spot on. All the actors truly embodied their characters and the connection between each of them was effortless. The scenery was astonishing — no better word than that — each country was beautifully depicted. If I had a private jet at my disposal I would be writing this post from Bali right now.

I did not read the book but I heard from several ladies at the preview that the movie was actually better than the book. After further discussion with these ladies, I learned that if I had read the book I would have had a lot of my questions answered. For example, I was wondering the whole time how the heck did the author of the book, Elizabeth Gilbert, pay for all this traveling? Come to find out the answer is literally in the book.

I do feel the need to warn our male readers as this movie is totally a chick flick. But, if you are looking to score some brownie points than I highly recommend you tough it out. It will be worth it in the end, I promise!

To the ladies reading this, I am very confident that you will enjoy every minute of this flick. To me this movie was nourishment for the soul. It reminded me that the one constant relationship in life is the relationship with ourselves. If that relationship is broken, bruised or battered than we will be unable to work on any other relationship around us. Hopefully we can all learn to clear out our minds and open the doorway that will allow the universe to rush in.

GO Julia…gorgeous!

I can’t ever look at Eat, Pray, Love, without thinking of the South Park parody Eat, Pray, Queef.

Ugh! I can’t STAND Julia Roberts!
If I have to see the commercial for this stupid movie with her obnoxious laugh, I’m going to PUKE!
I hope this and every other movie she is in Flops!
She is just awful.

Julia is a mean hatful Diva.
I know people that have worked with her & they all say she is the biggest b!tc# ever.

Knowing all the stupid women out there that eat up whatever Julia Roberts and corporate America spoon feed them, I’m sure this ridiculous “movie” will be a big hit.
Eat up sheep! Eat up!

A move about a self-obsessed woman with a huge ego??
Sounds like perfect casting, This could be a documentary for that Julia woman

Squee I love thiese ttravelogue type movies because I love to travel. This reminds me of Sideways, and Frances Mayes’ Under The Tuscan Sun which I loved. I will be seeing Eat Pray Love even though I didn’t read the book.

I love Javier!! he looks so hot. And Julia looks gorgeous as well, can’t wait to see the movie.. SO STOKED.

I cannot stand diva Julia Roberts but I will go and see this.
I could not get through the book, I tried but it was so boring and not very well written. Maybe the movie will do it justice.
Her legs, btw are awful, always have been.
I love Javier and love his wedding ring to the beautiful and talented Penelope.
Julia is a nasty celeb to her fans. Always has been.
Her Letterman appearance last week proves how annoying she can be.

I would have seen the movie if that ego maniac Julia Roberts wasn’t in it.
Just the Tv ad alone makes me hate her even more.

They look so nice and I can’t wait to see this wonderful film
I heard it is BEAUTIFUL!

kudos Mr. Pitt.
