It was recently announced that Brad‘s recent film Killing Them Softly will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on Tuesday, March 26. We can’t wait!

Killing Them Softly centers on “three amateurs who stickup a Mob protected card game, causing the local criminal economy to collapse. A hit-man (Pitt) is hired to track them down and restore order.”

With all the rave reviews we got from the UK for Killing Them Softly, I was surprised it wasn’t a blockbuster in the US. Proof that the US market doesn’t appreciate quality, all they care about are car chases and special effects.

Can’t wait to get my copy on dvd, and I’ll be ordering a case of their wine this weekend. I’m going to keep one or two bottles for decoration, they’re lovely.

Have a good evening, jp fans.

Andrew Dominik’s scuzzy gem of a hitman drama is full of outrageously loquacious low-life power duels, all anchored by Brad Pitt’s menacingly good performance as a Mob enforcer.,,20326356_20653347,00.html#21249714

Whether or not Killing Them Softly will gain the respect it deserves a few years from now the same way Assassination did remains to be seen. I can imagine some will, like with last year’s Drive, be disappointed with the ways in which the film diverges from the type of film it’s advertised as, but those with an open mind are in for a real gem. Join the cult early, dear reader, and go see Killing Them Softly and discover that the crime film is alive, well and full of possibilities in these, the final days of civilization.

“Killing Them Softly” deserves an audience
Brad Pitt has just went from “celebrity with talent” to an official “acting legend.” Consider yourself warned.
Andrew Dominik’s latest film “Killing Them Softly” is going to be a highly debated film. Whether the audience member loves or hates it, one thing must be said: they just witnessed film history.
“Killing Them Softly” is a crime epic. If there is anything we know about crime epics in film history, we know that they have produced some of the most famous quotes and monologues.
“The Godfather,” “Goodfellas” and “Pulp Fiction” all have their significance in both pop culture and history. This film is about to join them.

Pitt is insanely memorable in his role. Every time he comes on screen, the audience is enthralled by every word that he speaks. There is a clear intimidation that results from every movement he makes. His performance is both real and entertaining. It is an event. It is a sight to be seen.

re: “a simple investment of $10 mil or $5 mill or hell even much, much less could get a great indie movie made.”

the issues could be more than that…1. she envisions her money going down the tubes with a failure and therefore her money and reputation along with his…don’t forget she is very controlling …”a control freak”…by her words alone (InStyle 2004). Control freaks cannot lose or look bad without blame…is she going to blame him…wouldn’t look too good in the public eye on her part. 2. The other thought is she is very tight with her money…preferring to give away handbags and clothes that were given to her. She likes to “purchase” a sure commodity like real estate, Huvane’s media PR, friendships and fiances LOL. Is the most in cash she has ever donated $5,000 for one of those charitable Oprah events? . I can’t remember the details but it was a pittance compared to her supposed personal wealth. JT’s proven writing disappointments are not reassurance for a sure reward…not even for “love” would she do it and I’m sure he knows it by now and doesn’t dare ask aka tempers will flare with a “how dare you.”
Now that she is in the “top dog” position in this relationship, she is not dumb enough to give favors like she asked from Pitt and got. She is not as “lovingly” unconditionally nice and secure as BP. Some single women have the “bag lady” syndrome and are consequently stingy.

    Hi Jaye,
Thanks for the in depth analysis of Fifty Shades of CaCa. I never intended on reading it and now I know what I’m not missing LOL.
re: “Apparently the main character only knew a few descriptive words and she used them over and over and over. One reviewer even used her Ipad or Kindle, to check how many times the author used certain words.”
That is too funny. In your writings, please, please do not over extensively use the words…”writhing” and “quivering”…two over pounded female words to describe everything se.x.ual/sens.ual…the sign of a writer with very limited vocabulary and creativity in fantasy and illusion. Bleh.
btw I just read on some travel site according to a “Budget chain Travelodge” report that approximately 7,000 copies of Fifty Shades were left last year, making it the most popular abandoned book in hotel rooms aka it can be requested from the lost and found LOL.

I think Hollywood didn ´t like to give that kind of power to some one who dosn´t share their doctrine, brad is tooo free for Hollywood, tooo independent, very thoughtful, tooo open mind, tooo good looking, tooo good hearted, tooo important, tooo loved and so so so special for his fans and the people who appreciating true talent that he would be ENORMOUS, so they try to keep a balance, that´s why they try to minimize his performance. But i don´t care, with or with out Oscar Brad is transcendental.
