Patrick Dempsey Being Honored with Maine Creative Industries Award!

Patrick Dempsey wheels his luggage through LAX Airport after arriving in on a flight on Sunday (March 16) in Los Angeles.

It was just announced that the 48-year-old Grey’s Anatomy actor will be a recipient of the 2014 Maine Creative Industries Award, which is awarded to a person who makes great contributions to both the arts and economy.

Patrick is being honored for opening the Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing in Lewiston, Maine.

“These exemplary honorees showcase Maine’s creativity in separate ways – Mr. Dempsey as a product of our rich performing arts community, which led to his success and ability to found the Dempsey Center.” Jean Maginnis, founder and executive director of the Maine Center for Creativity, said in a statement.
