    This is so cliche

he looks like crap on this picture

  • Chapter 3

His career is so predictable. always the same kind of role, the same kind of story, the same kind of film……zzzzzzzz

    I can’t believe I’m the first.

    Well fifth!

Good plot, hot, awesome actor, yes plz. :)

  • 6666

He likes bimbos and money. he’s lost so many brain cells. All gerard wants to do is to “save the world” in movies. wow, how original.

  • Have

This type of story has been done a thousand times. Why does hollywood keep repeating itself?

  • bboy

Gerry doesn’t seem to have much of a stretch as an actor.

  • Teresa54te

I can stare at him all day long. As long as he’s in it, I’ll be watching. Hey Gerry, I’ll always be a loyal fan.

  • So

How is his schedule shaping up for the year then? Gods of Egypt, Point Break, London Has Fallen, and then Geostorm? He hasn’t been that busy in a few years! :)

I’m looking forward to seeing these for the most part. Is their another project simmering as well? Kane and Lynch? Is that a definite? So many films are mentioned and then disappear. I think GB had a few sour projects and some unrealized developments and suits so this work is good.

I like discussing film prospects with the positive posters. :)

  • JS

@bboy: You got that right haw haw haw! He’s a Johnny one note.

  • http://pass Sweet!

I will never understand those who say GB is a limited actor. How does doing a beautiful musical with a singing part as the Phantom, embodying the persona and look of a legendary warrior in 300, filling the role of a heartbroken genius/psycho against the court system, being the cool, sexy, silly OneTwo in true Guy Ritchie style, bringing shakespeare to life in Coriolanus, capturing a drug dealing, biker redneck’s transformation into a passionate preacher/3rd world country advocate/soldier, voicing animated children’s movies, playing the hero in action driven suspense films, and making romantic comedies full of fun and humor constitute GB as a “one note” actor…..where is the f!@#ing logic? Sorry, but I’m so sick of people saying that about him, because it’s just so stupid!

  • And

Busy is very good. But don’t overdo it. Just saying…. lol :) I knew things would get better.

  • MimiB

Ho hum… yet another Save the World from disaster film.

Well, we can be pretty sure the film will flop because Gerry notoriously doesn’t have much taste when choosing films, does he. But then again, films like this don’t require much acting. The special effects and stunt men do the heavy lifting.

  • JS

This movie sounds stupid. Why would anyone even want to see it? I can see 1000 of Gerry’s fans wanting to see it but the rest of us…..blah.

  • Lillian

I think this is a great move for him and shows that his hard work is paying off. Warner Brothers has much bigger promotional capabilities so it will allow for a much bigger audience (ie more screens.) Good for him!

  • And

JS sure gets stolen the most I ever see on these threads.

  • Ducky

@Sweet!: That was very well said Sweet and very much appreciated.
.where is the f!@#ing logic? Exactly. Thank you!

  • Ducky

He has a perfect heart. Can you believe this
Lankin Ruppee from Royal Randwick today.

I want that horse…it’s so cute! Awwwwww.

  • Aps

gerry is a workoholic because he can’t stand himself in real life. a void to fill up.

  • http://pass Sweet!

Yeah, who knows how he does it all, quite the hard worker. I don’t keep up with all the in depth schedules/updates, but legit announcements or not, he certainly seems to have a lot on his plate. Guess he needed that time off for a number of reasons, mainly to recharge and get to the starting line in top form…and a hellava good form he’s got himself from what I can see. :)

Hope to see LHF, and Geo happen for sure. I’m not a big gamer at all, but as far as a video game based film, everyone who games and plays “The Last of Us” wants GB to be “Joel”, and you can see why here:

Similar looks and character! Haven’t played that game, but I hope that movie happens too, even though it’s only a collective wish of many at this pt. ha

  • Marion

gerry always acts the same way

  • Marion

@Aps: that’s possible. he’s afraid of getting older than he already is.

  • Cash

Gerry only likes money and attention. he’s so phony.

  • Same old crap

Dropouts posting under different names . Makes you want birth control to be mandatory doesn’t it. And to think that they will reproduce is more than frightening. I’ll give Marion and Cash the idiot of the thread award. No, make it Scorpio and Character, Who gives a crap, all the same mindless idiots from the same manure pile anyhow.

  • fromoz

@Ducky: Hi Ducky, Thanks for the wake up call from the other thread. But, unfortunately I had to make my own coffee. You & Embla will have to do better than that. LOL. I’ve been checking to see if there’s any info/photos yet from the big day at Randwick, but no luck yet. I think daylight saving is finished in the eastern states, so would only be 2 hours ahead of Perth in Sydney now. Perhaps a bit early for anything to be released yet. Will keep trying. Cheers to you & Embla :-))

  • fromoz

@ Ducky. This is the best I can do for now. An article about the event. G.B. is mentioned as a guest.

  • Observation

It’s something wrong. Something is very wrong. This was yesterday.

WTF is it? My dreams have been so dark.

  • Pamela

I hate posting this…Just take this as info…..These guys are not 100 percent accurate. But they take data and present planning and apply it to Revelation.

  • just a thought

For myself this would be something new SciFi he’s not done that before. I can never figure some people out. You complained when he did to many rom coms now he’s doing the same role’s over and over???? Just no pleasing some B*Tch’s, so why try. Do what you and your fans like GB after all these hater’s don’t spend there money to see your movies. BUT wait if they don’t how do they know so much about the roles you take on. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

  • Haters should leave

    Gerry can’t win.
Either he’s not working because he’s a loser that Hollywood doesn’t want anymore, or, he’s working too much and making bad films.
    Make up your minds!

  • Pamela

Haters only come out when you are doing something right and they can’t stop you or control you. Me, personally, I would get wild enjoyment out of pissing them off even more. lol :)

  • Observation

@Pamela: hoping it’s only a manifestation of stress. My job sucks right now.

Don’t forget that Shiraz movie too. It’s not about Muslims, like the nasty poster that ran poor Point Break off said; it’s about Jews being persecuted after the Shaw was exiled.

  • Pamela

Lot of hot blooded arguments always on this thread. I’ve looked on others and they are not as intense. It’s ridiculous. People like to fight on here. And to fight means to win. But win what? There is no prize for expressing opinions. That sounds like a good movie. Sorry to hear about your job.

  • Pamela

You could be getting a warning in your dreams. Keep your eyes open at work. And never let your subconscious dictate your emotions. You can control your subconscious.

  • Haters should leave

“Me, personally, I would get wild enjoyment out of pissing them off even more. lol :)”
If you’ve got that much time on your hands, I can understand. The rest of us would much rather not have to trawl through the insults about Gerry to get to the news.

  • Pamela

    @Haters should leave:

Well, I don’t know how time on my hands has anything to do with it, but I can see the frustration.

  • Bio

@Pamela: how do you control it? what is bad about the subconscious?

II. Ways of Coming to Know God
Created in God’s image and called to know and love him, the person who seeks God discovers certain ways of coming to know him. These are also called proofs for the existence of God, not in the sense of proofs in the natural sciences, but rather in the sense of “converging and convincing arguments”, which allow us to attain certainty about the truth. These “ways” of approaching God from creation have a twofold point of departure: the physical world, and the human person.
The world: starting from movement, becoming, contingency, and the world’s order and beauty, one can come to a knowledge of God as the origin and the end of the universe.
As St. Paul says of the Gentiles: For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. Ever since the creation of the world his invisible nature, namely, his eternal power and deity, has been clearly perceived in the things that have been made.

And St. Augustine issues this challenge: Question the beauty of the earth, question the beauty of the sea, question the beauty of the air distending and diffusing itself, question the beauty of the sky. . . question all these realities. All respond: “See, we are beautiful.” Their beauty is a profession [confessio]. These beauties are subject to change. Who made them if not the Beautiful One [Pulcher] who is not subject to change? [8]
The human person: with his openness to truth and beauty, his sense of moral goodness, his freedom and the voice of his conscience, with his longings for the infinite and for happiness, man questions himself about God’s existence. In all this he discerns signs of his spiritual soul. the soul, the “seed of eternity we bear in ourselves, irreducible to the merely material”, [9] can have its origin only in God.
The world, and man, attest that they contain within themselves neither their first principle nor their final end, but rather that they participate in Being itself, which alone is without origin or end. Thus, in different ways, man can come to know that there exists a reality which is the first cause and final end of all things, a reality “that everyone calls God”.
Man’s faculties make him capable of coming to a knowledge of the existence of a personal God. But for man to be able to enter into real intimacy with him, God willed both to reveal himself to man, and to give him the grace of being able to welcome this revelation in faith.(so) the proofs of God’s existence, however, can predispose one to faith and help one to see that faith is not opposed to reason.

Takes discipline. Hard to explain in a comment. Each individual’s subconscious mind is their own personal universe. “There is no spoon.” Information is told in a story but YOU are telling yourself the story. If it’s a warning – there’s time to make changes. If it’s a horror – strengthen yourself and fight back. If it’s a good story – confirmation or viewing something good headed your way or something you want.
Once you’ve realized this – then you tell yourself every night before you sleep “I can control this story. I can change it. I can defeat my own monsters here.”
Now that’s just general nightmares…there are other types that are worse and are messages from an outside source. Can’t go into detail…God sends dreams and visions and His are never really scary just startling. Whole nuther chestnutt. Whatever it is, gather as much information as you can while you are dreaming. Some people say write down your dreams, I never do because I never forget them and I can always go back to key moment in a dream.

  • So

Anyway, this Geostorm could be very interesting indeed. Yes, there is a fear that it will be like the same old summer vehicle like Independence Day or something like The Day After Tomorrow. One, those films did still make some money, and two, Geostorm may very well not be like them at all. This could be a tale of modern science and technology in warning or in futuristic issue or any other combination. I’d like to see it be a more traditionally cerebral sci fi piece, but it probably will be an action or special effects delight if it is also going to have actual in space set material. Either way, it should be interesting, and I would like to hear more about which direction they intend to take.

Some of it may seem the same old actioner that GB has done in the past, but it also has different elements. I don’t think he is without talent, but I think his problem has been that he has been stuck in making similar pictures for several years. Unique films like Coriolanus, Machine Gun Preacher, and Chasing Mavericks fell prey to an audience fatigue that only heard the likes of the same old Playing for Keeps romantic or comedy types and dismissed all of Butler’s quieter efforts.

Truth be told, I think there isn’t paparazzi or more information about Gods of Egypt because the larger media or social fan base may not be as interested in GB as it used to be because of the perceived same old comedy flops. When in truth, he does have fans who post on website and social media and encounter him and he has in fact been working steady on a variety of material the entire time.

Whew, sorry, long post! :) As I said, I like the film conversations. Please do forgive if I have any typos from getting so carried away! ;)
