Amber Rose & Blac Chyna Support Marriage Equality at BET Awards 2015

Amber Rose and Blac Chyna lean in for a kiss on the red carpet at the 2015 BET Awards on Sunday (June 28) at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

The gal pals walked the carpet together in matching outfits to show their support for marriage equality while Amber‘s boyfriend Machine Gun Kelly went solo.

“#LoveWins it’s truly amazing to think about all of the changes we’re able to see during our generation,” Amber wrote on Instagram this weekend. “When our children are grown they probably won’t even believe that once upon a time Gays and Lesbians were unable to get married. It’s like how we feel about women not being able to vote or the fact that slavery actually happened here in America smh. This is a great day for us as people! There’s no downgrades or upgrades it’s all about ❤️.”

Once upon a time? How about for thousands of years? In the not too distant future, minorities will be the majority in the United States. And, blacks and Latinos are overwhelmingly against gay marriage. I live in DC and when they had the rallies after the Supreme Court decision, there were all white people down there celebrating. You could count the blacks and Latinos down there celebrating on one hand. Other than some black celebs and politicians, you just don’t see many minorities celebrating this decision.

This is true. That’s the reason gay marriage got overturned in CA in the first place. It was a single black community that was the deciding factor. I think the African American community just has a hard time finding fault in their own community so they do not address it. It is the opposite of the white community where they have to find fault in every little thing.
