Ken Jennings Will Guest Host 'Jeopardy!' In First Episodes After Alex Trebek's Passing

Ken Jennings is stepping behind the podium on Jeopardy!

The 46-year-old former Jeopardy! champion, and the most winningest contestant of all time, will guest host the quiz show in the first episodes to film since Alex Trebek‘s passing earlier this month.

Ken, who also serves as a consulting producer, will be the first of a series of guest hosts on the program. He’ll tape his episodes starting on Monday, November 30.

“Alex believed in the importance of ‘Jeopardy!’! and always said that he wanted the show to go on after him,” said ‘Jeopardy!’ executive producer Mike Richards shared in a statement. “We will honor Alex’s legacy by continuing to produce the game he loved with smart contestants and challenging clues.”

He added, “By bringing in familiar guest hosts for the foreseeable future, our goal is to create a sense of community and continuity for our viewers.”

Jeopardy! also announced that the planned last episode of Alex‘s that was set to air on Christmas Day, will now air in January.

A selection of 10 of Alex‘s best episodes in celebration of his life will air between December 21 and 28.

Ken and future guest hosts’ episodes will air starting January 11.
