Auli’i Cravalho is ready to Rise!

The 17-year-old actress and singer hit the stage during the 2018 Winter Television Critics Association Press Tour at at The Langham Huntington, Pasadena on Tuesday (January 9) in Pasadena, Calif.

Auli’i stars in the upcoming NBC musical drama, which debuts on March 13.

The show is about an earnest high-school drama coach who recruits a reluctant football player to appear in the controversial school musical, Spring Awakening. Auli’i plays a student actor, Lilette Suarez.

“Part of me was able to relate to her pain, and her mother who just wanted the best for her,” she said during the press tour.

Jason Katims, Damon J. Gillespie, Josh Radnor, Rosie Perez and executive producers Jeffrey Seller and Flody Suarez all appeared on the panel.

Alan Cumming is making network TV history!

The 52-year-old actor is set to star in the procedural crime drama Instinct as an openly gay former CIA operative who has since built a different life as a gifted professor and writer, but gets pulled back into his old life when the NYPD needs his help to stop a serial killer.

“I applaud everyone at CBS for having the courage to put that on, in the climate that might not be the best time to do it,” Alan expressed (via Deadline) while speaking onstage during the CBS/Showtime portion of the 2018 Winter TCA Press Tour at The Langham Huntington on Saturday (January 6) in Pasadena, Calif.

“The President is actively condoning, by his silence, violence and persecution against the LGBT community,” Alan added. “I think it’s the perfect time and needs to be done. [It's] all that more important we should have a character with a healthy same-sex marriage.”

Alan was joined at the panel by executive producer Michael Rauch, and his co-stars Sharon Leal, Bojana Novakovic and Naveen Andrews.

Roseanne Barr is getting real about how her politics will impact the upcoming Roseanne revival.

The 65-year-old actress stepped out at the show’s panel at the 2018 Winter TCA Tour on Monday (January 8) at The Langham Huntington in Pasadena, Calif.

She was joined by the cast including John Goodman, Michael Fishman, Laurie Metcalf, Lecy Goranson, Sarah Chalke, Ames McNamera, Emma Kenney and Jayden Rey.

During the panel, Roseanne explained why her character on the show is a Donald Trump supporter.

“In The Rosanne Show, I’ve always tried to have it be a true reflection of the society we live in. I feel like half the people voted for Trump and half didn’t, so it’s just realistic. And, in fact, it was working-class people who elected Trump, so I felt like that was very real and something that needed to be discussed and especially about polarization in the family and people actually hating other people for the way they voted, which I feel is not American,” she said.

The singers took the stage during the ABC/Disney portion of the event held at The Langham Huntington on Monday (January 8) in Pasadena, Calif.

Katy looked stunning in a semi-sheer black and white checked ensemble, white pumps, gold jewelry, and red lipstick.

All three will serve as judges on the upcoming American Idol reboot, set to premiere on March 11 on ABC. Auditions kicked off back in August, and 23 cities were visited to try and find the next big talent.

Also in attendance were host Ryan Seacrest and several executive producers.

Jenna Fischer would totally take part in a revival of The Office!

The 43-year-old actress spilled about the show’s potential revival during Splitting Up Together‘s 2018 Winter TCA Tour panel on Friday (January 5) at The Langham Huntington in Pasadena, Calif.

She was also joined by her co-star Oliver Hudson.

While Jenna admitted she hadn’t heard about The Office revival yet, she was on board!

“I think that’s for networks to figure out if I were to be asked. I haven’t been approached about it and don’t know anything about it…But I love Pam!” Jenna said.

After the event, she added, “I think the idea of an Office revival is a great idea. I would be honored to come back in any way that I am able to. I loved playing that character and as long as Greg Daniels is the person in charge and the visionary behind it, then I would absolutely be up for it. We just have to get Mindy [Kaling], B.J. Novak, Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg, Mike Schur to write some episodes. That show was so great because of the talent involved behind the scenes, not just on the screen.”

The 50-year-old late night host opened up about his plans to host the 2018 Oscars in March and how he will not use the show as a platform for health care, as he has done on his own show.

“I don’t intend to use the Oscars as a platform for health care,” Jimmy said (via IndieWire). “You need to remember why you’re there. It’s not about you… You’re there to entertain people who are there on the biggest night of their lives. If it gets too heavy, you’re taking away from that.”
