'Criminal Minds' Revival Gets Paramount+ Premiere Date - Plus See Who Is & Isn't Returning

The revival series Criminal Minds: Evolution is coming soon to Paramount+ and the streaming service just announced the premiere date.

The 10-episode first season of the revival series will get a two-episode premiere on November 24. After those two episodes debut, new episodes will continue dropping once a week on Thursdays.

A mid-season finale will premiere on December 15 and then new episodes will pick up again on January 12. The season finale will debut on February 9.

The new series follows “the FBI’s elite team of criminal profilers [as they] come up against their greatest threat yet, an UnSub who has used the pandemic to build a network of other serial killers. As the world opens back up and the network goes operational, the team must hunt them down, one murder at a time.”

Six beloved actors are returning for the revival, two fan-fave stars are not coming back, and one popular actor has been added to the show.

The two actresses walked the carpet in support of the upcoming Emmy Awards, taking place tomorrow, September 12.

Melanie was joined by her Yellowjackets co-stars – Christina Ricci, Courtney Eaton, Sophie Nelisse, Samantha Hanratty, Tawny Cypress, Sophie Thatcher, Liv Hewson, Steven Krueger and Warren Kole – at the event.

Her husband, Jason Ritter, was also at the party.

'Criminal Minds' Revival Gets New Title, Another Actor Added to Cast (Plus See Who Is Not Returning)

The Criminal Minds reboot is going to premiere soon on Paramount+ and a new title was just announced.

Criminal Minds: Evolution will premiere on the streaming service in Fall 2022. The original series ran for 15 seasons on CBS and ended in 2020.

Variety reports that the series “follows the FBI’s elite team of criminal profilers as they come up against their greatest threat yet, an UnSub who has used the pandemic to build a network of other serial killers. As the world opens back up and the network goes operational, the team must hunt them down, one murder at a time.”

Two Series Regulars from 'Criminal Minds' Are Not Returning for the Revival, But These Six Stars Will Be!

The beloved CBS series Criminal Minds, which became a giant success on Netflix as well, is returning to television later this year.

Paramount+ has ordered a revival series of Criminal Minds and a bunch of your favorite stars will be back for the new episodes, though two series regulars have confirmed they are not returning.

The revival series began filming earlier this month and one of the cast members already shared a photo from set.

The fan-favorite CBS series Criminal Minds will be returning with a revival series on Paramount+ and the cast is officially back at work!

Paget Brewster took to Twitter on Monday (August 8) to share a photo of herself in the hair and makeup chair during her first day back on the show.

“Oh, hi Guys !! This is my first ⁦@criminalminds hair and make up from this morning…. I hope you’re all excited for a slightly older, sassier, no filters, grey-haired Prentiss. And if you aren’t, that’s cool, just tell someone else,” Paget captioned the below photo.

Not all of the cast members from Criminal Minds will be back for the revival though.

'Criminal Minds' Revival Series Confirmed, Cast Revealed - Six Series Regulars Will Return, Two Stars Aren't Coming Back

A revival of the CBS series Criminal Minds is officially heading to the streaming service Paramount+ and the cast has been confirmed.

Six series regulars from the CBS version of Criminal Minds will return to their roles while two previous regulars are not coming back for the revival.

Erica Messer will return as the showrunner.

“For 15 seasons, Criminal Minds was at the forefront of cutting-edge scripted drama as it explored the psychology behind crime – thrillingly,” said Nicole Clemens, president original scripted series at Paramount+ (via THR). “The series never stopped evolving during its run, and we are beyond excited to bring it back into a new era with new stories for a new generation of viewers at Paramount+. Erica, the whole cast and creative team are building a season full of new twists that we are sure will electrify audiences.”
