Emma Mackey just won a very prestigious prize!

The 27-year-old actress, best known for her work in Netflix’s Sex Education, won the EE Rising Star Award at the 2023 EE BAFTA Film Awards held at The Royal Festival Hall on Sunday (February 19) in London, England.

Emma was nominated against I Wanna Dance With Somebody‘s Naomi Ackie, The Woman King‘s Sheila Atim, Good Luck to You Leo Grande‘s Daryl McCormack, and Living‘s Aimee Lou Wood.

If you didn’t know, Emma‘s new movie Emily was just released in theaters in the U.S. this weekend. Go check it out now at a theater near you!

The winners have been revealed for the 2023 BAFTAs!

The best in film was honored at the 2023 EE BAFTA Film Awards held at The Royal Festival Hall on Sunday (February 19) in London, England.

The Banshees of Inisherin and All Quiet on the Western Front were the two biggest winners of the night with four and seven wins, respectively.

So many stars were in attendance at the awards show and we have a full recap of everyone who stepped out on the red carpet for the event.

Lots of handsome guys were at the 2023 BAFTAs!

Jamie Dornan, Rege-Jean Page, and Eddie Redmayne were among the stars at the 2023 EE British Academy Film Awards on Sunday (February 19) at Royal Festival Hall in London, England.

Taron Egerton and Ed Westwick were also in attendance.

Eddie, who was joined by his wife Hannah, was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for The Good Nurse.

You may be wondering why numerous stars are wearing blue ribbons on the red carpet at the 2023 EE British Academy Film Awards on Sunday (February 19) at Royal Albert Hall in London, England.

The ribbons read “#WithRefugees” on the front and are to show solidarity and support for those who have been displaced, especially amid Russia’s war against Ukraine.

The UNHCR adds, “The #WithRefugees Coalition is a powerful force for good inspiring work in solidarity with people forced to flee all over the world.”

Some of the attendees who are wearing the ribbons tonight include Sophie Turner, Michelle Yeoh, Cate Blanchett, Colin Farrell, Angela Bassett, Everything Everywhere All at Once film editor Paul Rogers, My Brother the Devil‘s Sally El Hosaini and James Floyd, The Woman King director Gina Prince-Bythewood, actor Daryl McCormack, and more.

The cast of The Banshees of Inisherin is winning big at the 2023 BAFTAs!

Barry Keoghan and Kerry Condon are among the early winners of the night at the 2023 EE British Academy Film Awards on Sunday (February 19) at Royal Festival Hall in London, England.

Barry won the award for Best Supporting Actor and co-star Brendan Gleeson was up in the same category. Kerry picked up the prize for Best Supporting Actress.

Colin Farrell is also in attendance at the show and he’s up for Best Actor.

The Banshees of Inisherin is nominated for 10 awards tonight including Best Film and Outstanding British Film.

FYI: Colin is wearing Dolce&Gabbana. Kerry is wearing a Giorgio Armani Privé gown.

Cate Blanchett is looking as gorgeous as ever on the red carpet at the 2023 EE British Academy Film Awards on Sunday (February 19) at Royal Albert Hall in London, England.

The 53-year-old actress is nominated in the Leading Actress category this year for her work on the critically acclaimed film Tár. Be sure to see the full list of nominees for the BAFTAs.

You may be wondering why some attendees are wearing blue ribbons on their looks. It’s part of the #WithRefugees initiative to show support for those displaced, including the refugees from Ukraine forced to flee during Russia’s ongoing war against the country. In addition, if you’re thinking this dress looks a little familiar…it’s because Cate has worn it in the past! She previously donned the look at the Academy Awards back in 2015. She won the Best Actress award for Blue Jasmine back in 2014, and presented the Best Actor award on stage in 2015.

There is so much glamour at the 2023 BAFTAs!

Many celebrities hit the red carpet to celebrate the best in film at the 2023 EE British Academy Film Awards on Sunday (February 19) at Royal Albert Hall in London, England.
