The Battles have begun on The Voice season 22 and each coach will be joined by a celebrity guest advisor to assist their team!

Following the final blind audition of the season, which aired during the episode on Monday (October 10), the first battle was shown to end the evening.

Part two of the Battles airs on Monday (October 17)

The Battles will last until the end of October and the top 36 artists will advance to the knockouts. One celebrity guest will serve as an advisor for all teams during that round!

John Legend will be sad to see Blake Shelton leave The Voice.

In case you missed it, the 46-year-old country star announced plans to leave the reality show, which he has been involved with since its inception in 2011. He is the only original coach who has stuck around the whole time, and he and his contestants have won an impressive amount of times over the years.

John, one of his fellow coaches on the current season, shared his response to Blake‘s departure during a recent event, and it’s clear he’ll be missed.

Blake Shelton is stepping away from The Voice.

The 46-year-old country star confirmed that the upcoming 2023 season – Season 23 – will be his last as a coach on the show.

He confirmed the news in a social media post that was shared by NBC’s The Voice official account.

At the same time, The Voice revealed there’s a whole new coach lineup happening in 2023.

Blake Shelton is not here for his wife Gwen Stefani‘s sense of style.

During the season premiere of The Voice on Monday (September 19), Blake threw some shade at Gwen‘s fashion choices while slamming the gifts that his fellow coaches were giving to their new teammates.

Gwen, John Legend, and Camila Cabello all got teammates before him and he clearly wasn’t happy about it, so he started bashing the gifts that they gave out.

The Voice is returning to NBC tonight (September 19) after being off the air since December 2021 and there will be some new and returning faces on the panel!

Two coaches from season 21 will be returning for season 22, one from the past will be back, and one new coach is beginning a run on the show. Two judges from last season are not coming back.

NBC has also announced the celebrity advisors who will be assisting the coaches during the Battle Round.

Ever since Kylie Jenner shared a photo of her and boyfriend Travis Scott standing in between their private jets, celebs have been under scrutiny for flying private.

Then there was the report that Kylie‘s plane took a 12 minute flight and that she regularly was taking short flights. (Drake explained that his plane sometimes takes short flights when the plane needs to be moved for storage)

Sustainability-driven digital marketing agency Yard has now conducted a study to see which celebs have been emitting the most CO2 through their private planes… and Kylie doesn’t even break the Top 10.

The Tab reports that the average celebrity on this list is creating 3,256.36 metric tons of CO2 emissions through their private jets. The average person emits just 7 metric tons each year through flying commercial.

The stars are stepping out to honor Julie Andrews!

The 86-year-old Sound of Music and Mary Poppins star was honored during the 2022 AFI Life Achievement Award Gala Tribute on Thursday evening (June 9) at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

Julie‘s tribute event was originally scheduled for 2020, but the event was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Julie Andrews has sent spirits soaring across generations,” AFI President and CEO Bob Gazzale shared in a statement. “This new date for her AFI Tribute enriches our anticipation to celebrate her in a manner worthy at a time the world needs it most.”
