Brandy is back with new music after eight years!

The 41-year-old singer and actress released her seventh studio album titled B7.

Her new track “High Heels” features vocals from her 18-year-old daughter Sy’rai!

“First of all, I’m just so proud to be her mom,” Brandy shared with Billboard about collaborating with her daughter. “Just beautiful to see her grow into this beautiful musician, this young artist that’s coming into her own. I just want her to be herself. I want her to follow her creative gut, her creative flow, and just try everything that she possibly can with her voice. And listen to her heart about her music. That’s what I tell her all the time.”

Kobe Bryant brought singer Brandy to the prom when he was 17-years-old and they remained close friends over the years. Now, she is breaking her silence on the death of the beloved NBA player.

The 40-year-old singer took to Instagram to share her reaction to the deaths of Kobe and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna.

“Never will I understand. My condolences to @vanessabryant, and all families who are in pain during this tragic time. Love ♥️ #Mamba #Mambacita,” Brandy captioned a drawing of the father-daughter duo.

Kobe and Brandy went on a few dates after their prom outing, including the Eraser premiere as pictured here, but ultimately decided to just be friends.

Brandy is all smiles on the red carpet as she arrives at the 2019 BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards on Thursday night (August 29) at the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center in Sandy Springs, Georgia.

Joining the 40-year-old singer/actress at the event included Ludacris and Ray J.

During the event, Brandy was honored with the BMI President’s Award.

Ahead of the event, Brandy took to Instagram to share a message about her gratitude for the prestigious honor.

“I’m so full today and so humbled by the beautiful moments ahead of me. I feel like this moment in my life will inspire me beyond measure and I’m truly thankful to the Most High and my beautiful family for holding me in the light of love,” Brandy wrote. “I have been through so much in my years of being here but I will never stop giving my heart and soul to this world and the purpose on my life. Angela Bassett, Ciara and Erykah Badu strike a pose on the yellow carpet while stepping out for the 2019 Black Girls Rock Awards held at the Performing Arts Center’s Prudential Hall on Sunday (August 25) in Newark, New Jersey.

The three talented ladies were joined at the event by Regina King, Insecure‘s Issa Rae, Monica, Brandy, H.E.R., Remy Ma, Lil Mama, Ari Lennox, India.Arie, Kiana Ledé, Skai Jackson and hostess of the evening, Niecy Nash.

Brandy Norwood was rushed to the hospital on early Friday morning after she fell unconscious on an airplane right before she was set to take off.

The 38-year-old entertainer was on a plane heading from LAX in Los Angeles to JFK in New York City. The plane had not yet pulled out of the gate when Brandy lost consciousness, according to TMZ.

Paramedics rushed to the scene and Brandy had regained full consciousness while being treated on the jetway. She was stable when she was taken the hospital.

We hope that Brandy recovers soon!

UPDATE: Here’s what Brandy‘s rep said in a statement: “The stress of all of the traveling and working so incessantly has exhausted her. She will be relaxing for the next few days.”
