Carly Rae Jepsen has joined forces with Gryffin on a brand new track called, “OMG“!

The track with the 33-year-old Dedicated singer is the latest offering from the Los Angeles-based artist-producer’s forthcoming debut album Gravity.

“Gryffin is a kindred spirit in the way he thinks about music, I’m grateful to be a part of this song,” Carly Rae Jepsen said in a statement.

“‘OMG’ was one of the most fun experiences I’ve ever had in making a record. Getting to work with Carly Rae Jepsen was such an honor as I’ve been a big fan of her work for a long time and I’m so happy with how the track seamlessly blends both of our styles,” Gryffin added in his statement. “I hope everybody loves it as much as we do and feels the fun, summery energy of the record.”

Here is what the 33-year-old singer had to share with the mag:

On why she went blonde: “I think I got a little hooked on the feeling of chameleon-ing yourself and what that does for your confidence, even your sense of identity. It allows you the ability to kind of play and not have this expectation of what you’re supposed to be like. I was very much the girl next door — brown hair, kept the safety bangs, didn’t ever change a thing. The first time that I dabbled [in hair color], I felt like a new person.”

On not having dissonance between Carly the performer and Carly the person: “My theatrical side onstage is very much just who I am. I don’t do the Beyoncé thing where I’m like, ‘And now I’m Sasha Fierce.’ I’m just — I’m always me.”

On one of her favorite hairstyles––the mullet: “You can’t go wrong. If it’s short enough, you’ll wake up, throw some gel on the front and the rest looks like you made a decision, and that for me is really fun. And maybe it’s such a historically unattractive hairstyle to some that there’s a boldness in it that I quite love, because then you just dial it up with makeup and you feel — I don’t know, I just always felt really empowered when I had it. I don’t know if I want to be Goldilocks. I want my edge.”

Elle Fanning shows off her vocals while belting out Carly Rae Jepsen‘s unreleased song “Wildflowers!”

The 20-year-old Galveston actress performed the track for her upcoming film Teen Spirit.

The song was co-written by Carly and Jack Antonoff.

In the film, Violet (Fanning) is a shy teenager who dreams of escaping her small town and pursuing her passion to sing. With the help of an unlikely mentor, she enters a local singing competition that will test her integrity, talent and ambition.

Driven by a pop-fueled soundtrack, Teen Spirit is a visceral and stylish spin on the Cinderella story, featuring Elle performing music by Robyn, Ellie Goulding, Tegan & Sara, Annie Lennox, Orbital, and Sigrid, plus additional music by Ariana Grande, Katy Perry, Grimes, The Undertones, Aqua, Alice Deejay, Whigfield, Major Lazer and No Doubt.

The movie is written and directed by Max Minghella and also stars Rebecca Hall, Zlatko Buric and Agnieszka Grochowska.
