Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres are sharing their love story!

The 48-year-old retired actress and the 63-year-old talk show host opened up about meeting each other and falling in love in the new issue of People.

“I remember thinking that she was the coolest, most fascinating, beautiful, funniest person I’d ever met,” Portia recalled of Ellen after they met at a Rock the Vote concert in the early 2000s.

“But I, at the time, was closeted,” Portia shared. “I really wasn’t comfortable with my sexuality. I just knew that being with her would be a bit of a thing for me, so we didn’t get together after that for about three years.”

A few years later, the two ran into each other again at the Big in ’04 VH1 honors event.

DESCRIPTION

“We saw each other and started talking, and that was it,” Ellen explained. “She opened up and said she’d been thinking about me. And it surprised me. It was a big deal for her to be seen with me. The very first time we were photographed together was when I joined her at the Golden Globes after-party. And that’s when everyone knew that we were together.”

Portia then went on share how being with Ellen helped her feel comfortable with being gay.

“I just got to a point where I chose love over anything else. This was a once-in-a-lifetime feeling,” Portia said, who married Ellen in 2008 after same-sex marriage was legalized in California.

“And Ellen really did help me through it just by being there and making me feel more comfortable about who I am — like there was nothing wrong with being gay,” Portia shared. “I think that’s the first time in my life I felt that was true.”

Anderson Cooper Reveals Ex Benjamin Maisani Is Still Living With Him As They Co-Parent His Son Wyatt

Anderson Cooper is opening up about co-parenting with his ex, Benjamin Maisani.

The 53-year-old newscaster spoke with Ellen DeGeneres about their living situation and why he wanted Benjamin to be part of son, Wyatt‘s life.

“We actually still live in the same house because we get along really well,” he shared. “It works out. It was interesting because he wasn’t really sure he wanted to have a kid, which was one of the reasons we probably broke up. But then he came around on the idea, and now he is just such a great parent.”

Anderson did shut down any speculation that he and Benjamin would reunite romantically, saying, “No. It’s not going to happen.”

However, he’s still weighing the options of giving Wyatt a sibling.

“I don’t know. Yes, I would love to. I think it would be great for him to have a sibling,” Anderson mused, but “I’m not sure I could handle another.”

Wyatt, he says, is “really such an easy kid. He’s still sleeping, like, 12 and a half hours every night, he eats his sweet peas and his mushed little cauliflower. He’s such a happy little chappy. It’s such a joy.”

Previously, Anderson revealed the reason why he wanted Benjamin to co-parent with him.

During her appearance that airs today, the 35-year-old model and cookbook author admits that it’s been really hard this past week as her son, Jack, would’ve been delivered full term.

“Looking at those pictures now, it seems like so long ago. And also, of course, everything was such a blur,” she shared about the heartbreaking images that husband, John Legend, took in the hospital. “Even thinking back to it now, I am still in therapy about it and I’m still coming to terms with it.”

Chrissy added, “I have maternity clothes, and there are things that I bought for my eighth month and my ninth month. So it’s just hard because he would’ve been born this week, so you look at those things and you have these constant reminders.”

She also revealed that as painful as losing Jack was, it also saved her.

“It was a really transformative thing for me and in a way it really saved me, because I don’t think that I would’ve discovered therapy and then sobriety and this path of feeling good about myself and feeling like a new person,” she said.
