Ben McKenzie and his co-stars pose for an epic selfie before their Gotham panel at 2015 New York Comic Con held at The Jacob K. Javits Convention Center on Sunday (October 11) in New York City.

The 37-year-old actor was joined by his co-stars Robin Lord Taylor, Cory Michael Smith, Erin Richards, Michael Chiklis, James Frain, and Jessica Lucas at the event.

At the event, Robin, who portrays The Penguin on the show, announced, “Pee-Wee Herman is playing my dad.” You may remember, Paul Reubens (aka Pee-Wee Herman) played the role of the Penguin’s father in the 1992 movie Batman Returns.

The cast of Gotham gets together for a portrait session at the Getty Images Portrait Studio held during 2015 San Diego Comic-Con at Hard Rock Hotel San Diego on Saturday (July 11) in San Diego, Calif.

Earlier in the day, the cast – Ben McKenzie, Sean Pertwee, David Mazouz, Camren Bicondova, Robin Lord Taylor, Cory Michael Smith, and Erin Richards – participated in a panel.

During the panel, Cameron Monaghan, who is playing the Joker next season, showed up out of nowhere and stole the microphone from a fan before being escorted out of the room by security!

That same day, Ben hit up SiriusXM radio while Camren and Robin stepped out at the Entertainment Weekly party.

Fox’s highly anticipated new series Gotham, the Batman origin story, has just added some key new players to the cast!

After announcing Ben McKenzie as the lead role of Commissioner Gordon, Fox has just announced that Sean Pertwee will play Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce Wayne’s butler, Burn Notice‘s Zabryna Guevara will play Commissioner Gordon’s boss Captain Essen, Erin Richards will play Barbara Kean, Gordon’s fiancee, and The Walking Dead‘s Robin Lord Taylor will play Oswald Cobblepot aka The Penguin, Variety reports.

The series is set to premiere in the 2014-15 season on Fox.
